Malcolm “Butch” Somsag, 54, of rural Streator, died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at his home.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Winterrowd-Hagi Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Born Aug. 1, 1948, in Streator, he was the son of Malcolm L. and Mildred (Smith) Somsag.

He is survived by a daughter, Charlene (Mrs. Dave) Cooke of Streator; a special friend, Sherry Mascal of Streator; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He graduated from Streator High School in 1966 and Ohio State University.

He was employed by Hunter Corporation for 19 years. He was a pipefitter working out of Local 597.

Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice or the Animal Anti-Cruelty Society.
