Linda Svetz Kettman

Ron and I have lived in several places since marrying in 1970: Huntington, WV; Rochester NY; Toledo, OH; San Juan, PR; and now Florida. Our daughter, Rhonda lives in Maumee, OH with her husband and two daughters, and our son, Curt and his wife live 50 miles north of us in Titusville, FL. We moved to the east coast of Florida 8 years ago because of its proximity to Kennedy Space Center, the Orlando airport, the theme parks and the beaches. Now, we are happily retired, visiting the grandchildren, playing golf and traveling both overseas and domestically.

One of my favorite memories was of a Halloween spent with Peggy Spraggon. We were going to a party as a pair of dice and to construct our costumes we decided one night to lift a couple of furniture cartons from Northtown Furniture. Because they were huge, we could only put one carton in the backseat of Peggy's car and another in the trunk. Peggy convinced me to get in the one in the trunk so that I could hold the trunk lid down preventing the box from falling out. She promised me she would go straight home, but instead (because she had a really sick sense of humor, and I say that in the nicest way!) she cruised down Main Street with me in the box in the trunk. I could only wave at the people driving behind us as they laughed their heads off. I'm laughing as I'm typing this. Ah, good times and there were many more, too.
