Obituary

David A.  Zavada 71, of Long Point passed away Saturday morning (November 2, 2019) at his home.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10 am – 12 Noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at noon at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Beaver Cemetery in Donovan, IL with military honors conducted.

David was born on March 12, 1948 in Streator, IL to John “Doc” R. and Shirley (Haar) Zavada.  He married Linda Grant on June 16, 1973.  She survives.

Also surviving is son Ryan (Andrea) Zavada of Streator, his mother, Shirley Zavada of Streator, and a brother John “Jack” Zavada of Streator.

He is preceded in death by his father.

David attended St. Anthony Grade School, Streator Grade schools, Streator High School and graduated from Woodland High School in 1966. He served in the US Navy from 1966 to 1970. David was a printer by trade. He was a member of the Park Presbyterian Church and a life member of the Streator VFW Post 1492.
