When we were in Grade School, Lynn made Earl Rankin and me blood brothers for life.  She cut both of our thumbs made us mix our blood and told us that was how it was done.  Still, don't know if that was the right way, but I always felt a "kin" relationship with Earl afterword.  Thanks for being unique Lynn.

Lynn and I were best of friends.  We did everything together, walked uptown, went to movies, shopping and Hills for cokes.  We enjoyed many a night at Norris Hall dancing and being crushed by all the kids who enjoyed the music as much as we did.  She was a great friend.  I'm so glad I reconnected with her again and shared some laughs about the old days.  God bless Lynn you will be missed.

NAPLES, Fla. — Lynn Munn Clay passed away peacefully during her in-home hospice care on Sunday, Dec. 11.

At her request, there was to be no visitation or services, though she was accorded last rites.

Born Jan. 25, 1948, in Streator, she was the daughter of Jack and Babe (Faulkner) Munn, both of whom preceded her in death.

Her closest and most beloved companion was Dave Wargo, of Streator and Naples.

Also surviving are her three daughters, Tammy (Ana Rodriguez) Bentley, of Atlanta, Ga., Tricia Coatie, of Elkhart, Ind., and Tara (Aaron) Quam, of Lake Tapps, Wash. Her brothers, Bill Munn, of Streator, and Terry Munn, of Waco, Texas, also survive.

She was the loving grandmother to Elijah Bentley, Devon, Danielle and Isaiah Coatie, Damion, Alexandra, Brianna and Isaiah Swoke, Cole Libby and Kyle Hoskin. She was the loving stepmother to Christopher and Crystal Clay, most especially after the death of her husband, and their father, Gene.

She graduated from Streator High School. She earned her LPN from IVCC and worked as a nurse for the Illinois Department of Corrections for several years, as well as various care facilities.

She was a loving and compassionate person, a true caregiver through her whole life.
