PONTIAC — Jane Mitchell, 69, of Pontiac, and formerly of Streator, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 26, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, at St. Michael the Archangel Parish. Burial will follow the Mass in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Dan Casey, Dick Aukland, Keith Spaniol, Jeff Rudolf, Bill Sims and Alan Wheatland. Honorary pallbearers will be John Mitchell, John Erickson, Dave Compton, Tommy Motter and Brian Wheatland. A visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Elias Funeral Home.

Born July 15, 1948, in Streator, she was the daughter of Charles “Bud” and Zita (Wheatland) Mitchell.

She is survived by her brother, John Mitchell, of Toluca; brother-in-law, Dan Casey, of Streator; and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Mitchell; sister, Joan Casey; and niece, Melissa Casey.

Jane attended local grade schools and graduated from Streator Township High School in 1966. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Parish. She worked at Motorola in Pontiac and retired from R.R. Donnelley Printing in Pontiac.

Jane was a avid Chicago Cubs fan and loved going on bus trips to see her Cubbies.
