I knew Paul Mei from grade school on into high school. He was a unique character, and had some unusual ways of paying attention to girls! I recall him sitting behind me in English class in high school and pulling on my braids until I yelped! RIP, Paul.
My favorite memory of Paul Mei was in 8th grade when he locked our Art Teacher, Mr. Jay in the class showcase window in our art room. The Principal had to come and let him out! Paul was one of the funniest and most intelligent characters I knew in Streator. Way too many incredible classmates are passing in 2015. Really makes you realize how important staying in the moment is and enjoying each day!
