My sweet Tom died from complications of a double lung transplant. He had a very rare form of genetic emphasemia called Alpha One Anti-Trypsin Disorder. We'd never heard of it. A lung transplant was the only fix. Unfortanately for us, it wasn't meant to be. He passed away 52 days after the transplant, never leaving the hospital. As great of a young man as you may have remembered, he became even a better adult. A perfect husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. We miss him desperately.

I don't know what Tom died from but I would be shocked if it was from health reasons.
