Teresa, we have laughed about that story since it happened. We did think Mr. Horton was fine. What about Coach Thompson, or was it Thompkins....did we think he was fine? oh wait, I think HE thought he was fine. Remember he would always have his foot propped up on a desk when he would talk to us. My mom has seen Mr. Santucci and Mrs. Horn several times over the years. I think she's seem them in Pine Bluff. I remember thinking Mrs. Horn being so pretty. Now that I look back, I think all it was...she was super skinny, wore lots of makeup and wore high heels and a dress everyday. That will make anybody pretty....right?

I remember Mr. Kendrick saying that in the gym that day like it was yesterday, but don't remember who the LUCKY student was that had to stand!!! haha It wasn't me.... Beth~ Coach Thompson was the PERV... He did prop his leg up when he came to the desk to help as he was looking down all the girls tops. (thats when everyone wore V-Neck sweaters) I didn't have to worry about that since I had no boobs and still don't!!! haha What about Coach Morrero?? Don't remember how to spell that, maybe I need to call Ms. Meekins also! ha ha He taught HEALTH in the gym. I haven't seen Mrs Santucci since they left Stuttgart. She was also dressed in heels and lots of make-up.. and she was very skinny... Mr. Santucci applied for the job in Stuttgart as Superintendent, but didn't get it. We need to try to find the missing classmates and get them on this!!! talk to ya'll later, got to clean the house... ha ha

17/07/08 01:09 PM #413     Carolyn Tanksley (Wall) The class of 88 had this discussion on the forums awhile back....about the teachers from school. One of them was Coach Higgins from middle school. He is the one that used to prop his foot up on the desk with those gym shorts on. The other was coach Roop (sp??). He taught history I think. I used to grade papers for him during study hall. That is until he paddled me. That was the second paddling and last one I ever got during school. I will save the other paddle story for later because it involved me, Darren Vomard and I think Brent Beck. We all got a paddling that day in 5th grade. The art teacher (can't remember her name) caught me in the hall after lunch instead of going out to recess and ask me what I was doing. Told her I was getting my toothbrush out of my locker. She made me open up the little lunch bag I had which contained candy. Coach Higgins used the paddle that Ms. Bowen had. Do you all remember that paddle? It was just scary looking at it. It was acrylic with holes drilled in it. She kept it hanging on the wall in her class.

Carter (my youngest) was on a baseball tournament team this summer............ HE WAS THE COACH. haha I definitely don't look at him the same way today that I did 20+ years ago. I was always in love with Coach Morrerro...... He is either the principal or superintendent at Dumas. What about that student teacher/coach that was there our jr or sr yr? Ya'll remember him? I always thought he was a HOTTIE!! Who was that? Teresa That story about our 1st day in jr high is the BOMB!! I have told that story a hundred times. Oh I can't wait for the guilty one to confess! WE CRACK UP AT ALL THAT WHEN WE TALK ABOU THAT... U KNOW NOW I LOOK AT MY YEARBOOK WITH COACH MARRO IN IT AND HE LOOKS LIKE BARNEY FLINSTONE.. MAYBE THAT IS WHY I CHOSE THE "FLINTSTONE FOR OUR PAST HALLOWEEN COSTUME" CHECK IT OUT.. DOES BRUCE LOOK LIKE COACH MARRO.OR BARNEY FLINTSTONE.. .
