Hey Matt Rogers
I don't know how often you check this forum, but if you are reading this, my mom would love to know where your mom is. I was showing her all of the profiles and when she saw yours she thought your oldest boy looks just like you!! Anyway, she was asking about your mom and wondering what she is up to.

Seems everyone is remembering alot from our school days. I'm enjoying being that fly on the wall and watching everyone talk. Guess I've always been a writer? You never forget certain people or experiences and each experience is exclusive for that person. I love reading all the memories, but mostly seeing how everyone is communicating and reaching out after twenty years. Hard to believe because I still feel twelve at heart.

The tragedy the Beckwiths are experiencing takes me back to when we lost April. I see that it did others, too. I am glad you posted information about her. April had a locker next to mine our 9th grade year. Her birthday was the day before mine and I always wished her Happy Birthday. Funny how you remember certain moments that shape you. I vividly remember wishing her a Happy Birthday that final time. Can still see those wooden lockers at Junior high. I've thought of her often throughout these twenty years. No one is ever forgotten if they've been a part of your life.

Are we inviting old teachers to our reunion or would that foil us talking about them?? Just see several around and wonder what protocal is?

I want to forgive anyone who had to sit behind me in class. My hair made it impossible to see or learn it was so enormous. But hey, it was a work of art!

Teresa- I am laughing so hard at you right now! Just read the class of 88 message forum....you better watch out for Kenny. He may be after you! ha ha What they may not realize is that the class of 89 started all of this web site stuff in the first place! ha ha They were checkin in on us and thought is was so much fun that they started one! Not that we care.. the more the merrier! Have a good weekend! We were headed to the lake but did not have power all day (tree fell on power line behind our house) so we are not going until tomorrow and staying through Monday since we were out of this hot house all day...

Monica~

I remember in middle school having Mr. Owens, but you sat beside me instead of in front. Do all of you remember him? He was the science teacher and he had EVERYTHING written on those overhead sheets and that is basically how he taught class everyday.

He would just put those sheets up there for us to copy and then we had to study them for the test.

Monica- when I think of you in school the first thing that comes to mind is not the hair... it is the potted meat that you ate every day in elememtary school! that stuff stunk! ha ha not that I really have any room to talk... I ate bologna every day ha ha!

Monica Carter (Petter)

Teresa ~ We had Mr. Branson together. Remember drafting? He always said he wanted to "back a cookie truck" up for anyone who thought they were funny or quip.

Carolyn ~ I remember Mr. Owens. He always referred to female classmates as "pretty little miss whoever". I was always "pretty little miss carter" when he asked for an answer.

Lauren ~ Everyone called my potted meat dog food! Matt Rogers did, I remember that. Matt, you were just jealous. I call it poor man's pate! I loved it, still do. David hates it or bologna. Nothing better than a bologna and cheese on wonder white! Hehehe...

Back from New Mexico, what a topsy turvey trip. I got lots of good training, and all three service components (Marine, Army, Air Force) operated excellent together. Now minus the bad head cold and injury I received it was a good trip. I could have done without the C130J trip back or the brown recluse some one found crawling on me, I should have known not to be leaning against the big cargo pallets that had been sitting out in the fields for four days.

Monica: I remember the big hair, I also remember being a jerk of a kid and pulling it all the time in 5th grade. You know, we had a lot of smart people in our class but you were the one I always rivaled against, just because you tended to have the same type of academic focus and general mindset that I did to a degree. You beat me at almost every single stage. I competed with you from 6-12 and flat out was outdone all the way around. By the way I just checked the copyright on "Turn A Page", which I believe is your first book, you beat me to print even. But I'm glad to see you are happy and your family is doing well.

Thank ya'll so much for all the replies and prayers. It has really been a hard week, the grief that we have experienced, hurting for them, i can't even imagine theirs. I know that God will carry them through this. And i know that he has a plan. People have tried to shoot that gun over and over now, and it will not shoot.(it was supposedly like an antique, that the gunshop told the dad would never work.) Yes, the other little boy was one of Logan's best friends, we are praying for him and his family. He and his dad (the house they were at) are really torn up, so upset. Hunter (that boy), and Logan's Jr high football team, wore their jersey's to the funeral and Carrie buried him in his jersey. His friends and coach got up and spoke about him. He was so funny, a unique character. Lived life to the fullest. He will be missed. I think Byrum, owner of the funeral home in Hazen, said there were 800 people there. Byrum (some of you might remember him, he was a friend of mine along with other Hazen friends in college) said it was his hardest funeral to do, he was Logan's God Father, he and carrie were best friends. They have sooo many friends that are going to help them through this, and with God's Grace, they will make it. I have 4 very close friends here who have lost siblings like I have, and we all say now how we had no comprehension of what our parents went through, until we had kids now of our own, and we can only imagine the pain. Please continue to pray, and thank you again so much.

The girl- I don't think she was in pageants. It is not Michelle Doss, i remember her look pretty well. This girl has like a major bone structure going on, that you could not mix up with anyone, i think her forehead sticks out some, don't know how to describe her. This girl, i don't know why, i keep wanting to call her last name winter or something, i just can't put my finger on it, but I feel like i will see her again soon somewhere, you know how that always happens, you think of someone so much, you see them at Walmart or somewhere. i will figure it out somehow.

Wes ~ Good to see your page and your family. So glad you are all doing well. How is your mother? Guess I met you in 6th grade because I was a catholic school crossover. You were always a gentleman, that I remember. I never knew you were my competition?! I always considered you my superior. We had a shared perpective - we just loved learning, still do. I think I compete with myself the most.

I just completed my 5th novel and am editing it now. It is called Kite Strings. I have three other novels, a trilogy, and one unpublished that I am editing right now. I love writing, do it for the sheer joy and self publish in order to share with others. This last book had 6 readers who read along as I wrote for over a year. The book is dedicated to them. Their feedback was so incredibly helpful. So, for all of you classmates, some characteristic that stood out about you is most likely in some of my characters! We had some very interesting kids in our class, so the spectrum is wide open!

Some have approached me about writing a book on the May 10th tornado. I would interview people's first hand accounts of it and compile a book of essays. Would be a history for Stuttgart to have for future generations. What do you think? Feedback, please. I know I have my own personal story.

Teresa-I am cracking up. You are always getting yourself into something! You just need to stay over here where it is safe! We all love you.

Hey Everybody
I am back from Stuttgart. I did NOT find the video. I have no idea where it is. It just makes me sick. My daddy was on the front row center filming it. It was a good one.

Can I just say that I miss Stuttgart!! I wish I lived there. I hung out with Teresa for two days and we had so much fun. I laughed the whole time. I'm was her silent partner on the 88 site getting her in trouble with Kenny Hill. Whew...I was scared! I came home telling Roddy that I want him to find a job in Stuttgart because I want to move home. I already have it narrowed down to three different places I want to live. Either the old Crowe house, my nana's old house on Buerkle, or out on Bob Davis road right next to Teresa's new house. Last night when I presented this news to him, he just looked at me and said NO WAY!! Whatever!! He just doesn't know what he is missing! Does he? Maybe I should take him to the iron bridge....then I KNOW he would change his mind.

I rode with my my older sister and we were on the "cut through" from Brinkley to Clarendon. It had just recently been repaved. It was that kind of gravel stuff...anyway, we got pulled over going 55 in a 25mph zone!!! I wanted to "name drop" so bad David Chastain or Charles Smith! We didn't though because he just gave us a warning. He wanted to know why two girls from Tennessee would be traveling on a country rode like this. We were insulted!

Speaking of...David, how are you? Haven't heard from you in awhile. Are you hanging in there? Tell us what you've been doing lately.

Teresa Stovall Davis...you freakin' crack me up! When I first saw Kenny Hill's name on 88...I though it was the Kenny Hill you were talking about too....I thought he just flunked or something and didn't graduate until 88. Isn't he like a Dog the Bounty Hunter now? Remember when he stripped down to his underwear at Traci Weaver's house and went swimming at like 2 o'clock in the morning?

Lets get some conversation going today. I'm here washing clothes all day....need some entertainment!!

Scott Robnett

Hey everyone....been out of town the last couple of weeks. Monica, there was little doubt you would do well. What are some of the titles to your books? I am a chronic reader now, and would love to check them out.

Tricia- I am glad your trip went well. I would love to go on a missions trip one day. I have been told many times by people that have done it that it is life changing.

Teresa.....turn those caps off girl! How is Bruce? I haven't seen you guys in forever. Oh, where is Bobby? I love that guy, and haven't talked to him in years. Doesn't he have two children?

Shelly, it's about time you got on here. You have some gorgeous kids, they take after their mom obviously!

Beth, any luck finding any videos or pictures in Stuttgart? How are your mom and dad doing?

Scott McCollum, I come to NWA all the time for work. Why don't we try to have lunch sometime? I would love to catch up.

Jil, I pray that the Beckwiths find peace. I can't begin to imagine their pain. There is a book called Raising Cole, that I swear breaks me down every time I read it. It explains how this big tough NFL football player developed incredibly strong relationships with his 2 boys, and lost one of them in a car accident. As a guy that has a life very similiar to the NFL player's (minus the NFL), it hit close to home. It is an unbelievable read. Men in our class should read this, and I can tell you it will change your relationships with your children!

Scott-Yes it is very rewarding to go on mission trips. This was really only my second one. Darren and I went to New Orleans 2 weeks after hurricane Katrina. I was scared to death after hearing all the news reports but I have to say I didn't want to leave other than I was ready to get home to my kids! It is usually very hard work but God gives you the energy to accomplish your mission. I really feel that one day I will be going somewhere out of the States for mission work. I don't know I just feel like I am being prepared for something. Maybe, maybe not. Only time will tell.

Beth-we would love for you to move back! It would be great to get to hang out with you! Amy, Cathy and I just got back yesterday from floating the Buffalo River. We had so much fun! It has become an annual girl's trip.
