Beth Carter (Dawson)

Scott
I did find some more pics while I was at home. I just wasn't going to mention it yet..as I still have not gone to get another ink catridge for my printer and it is getting a little embarrassing. How long has it been now..like a month? Do ya'll go this long without taking care of stuff? I mean how hard is it to drive to the store and buy an ink cartrige. I can't believe I have to have an ink cartridge just to scan pics. Anyway I have a whole stack of pics to post. I even found one of April Woodruff from back in elementary school.

Is anybody else a procrastinator out there like me? I got a new chandelier for my dining room LAST OCTOBER and it is still sitting in my floor...it is coming up on a year now. That is crazy!! So, who knows when I'll go get an ink cartridge.

Mission Trips....I know I am going to take one...one day. I want to take my kids and I want to go to Indonesia. That has already been laid on my heart and God has given me this peace about it...just waiting for the opportunity.
Ok...i'm going deep for a second, but hang in there, I'll be back to talking about Kenny Hill's underwear in no time....I learned this little nugget of truth recently. I"ll share it because it may help some of you. When God gives you peace about something it doesn't necessarily mean you find joy and comfort in knowing you will do something...whatever it is God has laid on your heart. In my case it is going overseas on a mission trip with my kids. I have always equated peace with having a comfort and joy about something and looking forward to getting to do it. Not really! Peace is an understanding that it will happen and God will carry you through it. It is not comfort and joy. I feel scared and sick at my stomach when I think about traveling over there...but I know I will do it. So, if you feel like you are being led to do something but are waiting on the comfortablness (is that a word) and joy over it....you may never get it. Follow your calling and God will give you that reward of joy AFTER it is over!! Ok...I'm done....back to talking about guys underwear and fashion shows at the river!!

Jil Bailey (Amaden)

Hey ya'll! I am sitting , waiting for my day to get going. I sent Gray to Bogg Springs this morning for a church camp, (went with BAbtist friends, but that's ok, we Methodist love everyone!) He will get to experience some Babtist sermons,I told him not to get scared, they are usually just louder than our preachers, ha! I am sitting here waiting for Bailey to quit feeling like she is going to throw up, we were supposed to leave for Brookehill an hour ago to take her and she ate some ravioli's for breakfast ( i am a great cook as you can tell) and her stomach is hurting.

Teresa, i am laughing so hard, i went on the 88 site. ok, when i went on and read it the other day, i was thinking it was red head Kenny too, and i was like, what is his deal!! That is strange, like he doesn't remember Teresa, please!! but then when i read today's someone said it is not him. i was also thinking i could have sworn he was 2 years older than us! didn't know there were 2 Kenny Hills!

Scott, that book sounds really good, I will have to tell John about it. I am reading 90 minutes in Heaven right now, (the true story of a preacher that actually died for an hour and a half, he tells vivid details of Heaven.) It's a good book, and i love how he says he saw the truck coming (that was going to hit him) and then he was at the gates of Heaven. And how he talks about the overwhelming happiness that there is no way for us to understand.

Someone was talking about Coach Marara the other day on the forum, i was sooooo in LOVE with him. I have no idea why, he wasn't cute, he looked like mario on donkey kong, but i was head over heels, thought about him all the time!! I know he is a principal in Dumas now or something.

I want to say thank you to all of you who actually HELPED do things at school! I guess i was out in lala land or something, but like, (teaching English in high school now), the kids are always having class officer meetings, working at concession stands at games, national honor society stuff, decorating for prom, floats, etc. (Lori was teaching high school here before me), and we are both like, when did all this go on, and where were we??!! We were saying, who were our officers and stuff, did we decorate for prom!! haha, sorry to everyone that was mad at our ditsy selves for not doing whatever we were supposed to be doing!!! I guess we floated through high school with our air headedness, haha!!! I catch myself all the time now telling Bailey and her friends, "ya'll quit acting goofy!! THINK before you do and say things!!!" hah

Carolyn Tanksley (Wall)

I was wondering the other day...I noticed there are a couple of more people I thought of and they are not listed. Guess they didn't graduate? One was Bubba Lawson, the reason I thought of him is because his sister was on the 88 site.

Another was Barry Massingill. I see him listed on classmates.com showing he graduated in 89...does anyone know about them?

28/07/08 04:11 PM #506

Monica Carter (Petter)

I would be honored if any of you wanted to read my books. If you are in Stuttgart, go to Coker Hampton. All of them are there. The titles are as follows: Turn A Page, View from the Rumble Seat, Conversations with Myself, and Mood Dancing. Those are the poetry books. The novels, a trilogy, are The Goodbye Letters, The Lost and Found, Pieces of Mona. If you aren't in town, go to amazon and type in Monica C. Petter. All my books are listed there to buy and you can read a synopsis. Thanks Scott!

28/07/08 06:06 PM #508

Lauren Hartz (Clark)

Jil- come on! you have got to do better on the breakfast menu! Poor Baily may not make it on Ravoli! Hope she felt better and made it to camp. Every child should go to camp at some point. It is such a wonderful experience.

28/07/08 06:08 PM #509

Teresa Stovall (Davis)

TRACI~ NOT SURE WERE BEOWULF IS BUT I KNOW HE IS 'BAD".. HAHA.. I NEED TO READ THAT BOOK IN MY SPARE TIME. I'M SO GLAD YOU ARE ON HERE. I KNOW YOU ARE OUT SAVING THE WORLD. I NEED TO SEND BETH AND SHELLY'S KIDS TO YOU SO YOU CAN LINE THEM OUT IF THEY ARE ANYTHING LIKE THEIR MOMS BUT IT MIGHT NOT BE A GOOD IDEA CAUSE YOU GOT LICKS TOO IN SCHOOL.. MAN I HUNG OUT WITH SOME "TROUBLEMAKERS" AND DIDN'T EVEN KNOW IT. I GUESS I WALKED AROUND THINKING ABOUT BRUCE MORE THAN I REALIZED.

SCOTT R.~ SORRY FOR THE CAPS BUT I DON'T KNOW WHEN TO USE CAPITAL LETTERS SO I JUST KEEP IT ON THERE. ARE MY KIDS NOT A BEAUTIFUL AS "THEIR MOM"?
BOBBY IS IN LITTLE ROCK WITH 2 KIDS. I'M STILL WONDERING WHY MY KIDS AREN'T AS BEAUIFUL AS THEIR MOM? HAHA..

TRICIA~ I WANT BETH TO MOVE HERE. SHE COULD BE THE NEW PTO MOM.

28/07/08 06:55 PM #510

Shelley Siems (Duch)

CAROLYN--I REMEMBER MR. OWENS AND ALL THE NOTES WE HAD TO COPY. HE WAS A TERRIBLE TEACHER--HE DID NOT TEACH AT ALL. MOST OF OUR TEACHERS DID NOT GET THROUGH ME, OR MAYBE I WAS NOT LISTENING. I GUESS THAT IS WHY I GOT ALL THOSE LICKS THAT TERESA KEPTS SAYING I GOT.

SCOTT- THANKS--BUT YOUR KIDS ARE BEAUTIFUL-- I HATE TO SAY THEY KINDA LOOK LIKE YOU-- DON'T LET YOUR HEAD GET BIG!!!

TERESA-- I AM GLAD I GET TO TALK TO YOU THROUGH THIS FORUM, BECAUSE US BEING ONLY AN HOUR AWAY--WE TALK ONLY TWICE A YEAR.

TRICIA-- I HAVE BEEN SEEING DARREN ALOT IN LITTLE ROCK WHEN HE BRINGS HIS DAD TO THE DOCTOR. HE KEEPS ME UPDATED ON ALL YOUR TRIPS. WHEN YOU WHERE GONE ON YOUR MISSION TRIP, YOUR SON WAS REALLY MISSING YOU. HE SAID HIS DAD WAS GOING TO MAKE HIM PICK UP STICKS OUTSIDE.. .. HE WAS SO FUNNY--I CAN TELL HE IS A MOMMY'S BOY.

28/07/08 07:42 PM #511

Carolyn Tanksley (Wall)

Jil~

I was wondering since Beth could not find her video, if maybe as Lauren suggested, have your mom look and see if you can find yours?

I would really like to put better videos up and also there were some more I wanted to make, but the quality was just so bad.

28/07/08 08:28 PM #512

Tricia Orlicek (Brown)

Shelley-Yes Dylan is a momma's boy and is proud to admit it. I will be relieving Darren of his duties either this week or next. Maybe I will see you at the doctor's office. I have to take his mom tomorrow so I might let Darren take his dad this Friday.

Teresa- Beth would make a GREAT PTO president. I am so glad to have a break from that one. Only I am now officially the president of Jr. Woman's for the next 2 years. The things I get myself into!! I hope you are thinking of helping out again with Superkids. We need you badly. I would really like to take a break from that too but there isn't anyone else to do it.

28/07/08 09:29 PM #513

Teresa Stovall (Davis)

Shelley~ I am glad we have this. I like to keep up with you on here cause I never know when you are putting your gorgeous kids to bed.

Scott R. Do you like these small caps? Cause this will be the last time you read it in small caps. I can't type worth a flip like this.

Traci W~ Where are you? You said you were in the house. I guess your in you HOUSE! haha.. Come out whereever you are. I'm glad you got a REAL job but take a break for a change and join the forum. I guess i need to go read Bewolf or does anyone have the cliffnotes to it.

Tricia~ Teresa is out for everything this year. I can't commit to one thing this year. I'm sorry but I can't do it this year. I need to join you and everyone on leading people but I can't do that right now. I am burnt out on being a leader. I have done it too long and I can't commit to that right now. So Beth we need you here in Stuttgart to help lead the pack here in town.

Jil~ I can't believe you like Coach Marro as much as I did. I got my Atari out today and played Mario and "YES coach Marro looks just like him... Whenever you are in Stuttgart come by and we will play Atari and watch coach marro run across the screen. haha..

Shelley~ Put your kids to bed. I'll talk to you later.

29/07/08 08:17 AM #514

Jil Bailey (Amaden)

Teresa, haha!! i will definitely come by and do that! Do you think it was because he taught Health and we had raging hormones? Can't figure it out, but glad to know someone else had same taste as i had!!

Carolyn, i will ask mom, i mentioned it to her once and she said she was sure she had it, the problem is she has EVERYTHING that all 4 of us kids did, so it will take her a while to go through it all, but i will help her next time i'm up there.

Monica, i remember your ponytail, i remember thinking you always looked perfect, like crisp and fresh. I think i was always in the grunge mode, wrinkled t shirt and shorts, probably still am! I love to read, i am rarely in Stuttgart, especially since my hair girl moved here to Carlisle, but if i am around, i will definitely pick up one of your books!

Carolyn Tanksley (Wall)

I have a question for everyone. I have pictures from 1st and 2nd grade on my profile. I was wondering if anyone knows who someone is.

In first grade she is the on the front row, first on on the left, in second grade she is on the second row from the bottom, last one on the right.

29/07/08 10:50 AM #516

Beth Carter (Dawson)

Carolyn
i don't know who that is. I almost could name everyone else in that picture but her.

Tricia and Teresa
I'm not a big volunteer. If anything involves speaking to people then I don't do it. I'm telling you it all started in that English class that day and its all Stephen Reinhart's fault. :-)~. I really like to stay home and hang out with family and friends, thats about all I do. Volunteering and being in charge of stuff is not my deal....so, you girls may change your mind about wanting me in town. I'd just hang out with you guys and talk.

Everyone
What camp so you think is the best camp to send your kids....I didn't go to alot of camps growing up, which one is the best....

29/07/08 02:54 PM #517

Lauren Hartz (Clark)

Carolyn- Not a clue who that is. Sorry

Beth- I am looking into camps now for Grace for next summer. It really depends on what they want to do, how long they want to be gone and $$$$$$$. I am not sure if I want Grace to go with someone or venture out on her own and make new connections. Stephanie and I started out at Timberlake together, but I think she only went the first year. I am going to have to talk Jack into it. He does not see why it is such a character building experience.... I think it is wonderful! Grace's friends go to Camp Ozark, Camp Winnamaka and Camp Waldemar. Of course I do not know how to spell, that has not changed.

29/07/08 09:50 PM #518

Jil Bailey (Amaden)

Carolyn, i don't know who that is, i was hoping it was the girl i am looking for!, but it's not.

Beth, i went to Brookehill several years growing up, it was awesome and still is. It is exactly the same as when i was growing up. There are tons of activities, horseback riding, go carts, fishing derbies, etc, etc,. and i remember i always felt sooo close to God and I felt so good when i came home. It is a non denominational Christian camp. I know a lot of Stuttgart kids still go. You can be junior counselor i think in 9th grade. Brent went growing up too, so we always said our kids would go there. Bailey is there this week for the first time , i am so excited for her! Gray will go next year, but this year he went to a church camp with a group, where some parents are there and he calls home, etc,. At Brookehill , there are no parents and they can't have cell phones or contact. THey can wright letters. I know Loren Bohanan went this year, and i might be wrong, but i could have sworn she said Teresa's oldest went.

30/07/08 08:15 AM #519

Tricia Orlicek (Brown)

Beth- I went to Brookhill growing up as well. That actually is where I accepted Christ. Haley has been to Tanako in Hot Springs and Siloam Springs. She liked both.

Carolyn- I don't know who that is either.

30/07/08 09:02 AM #520

Carolyn Tanksley (Wall)

Oh we might have another person to add. I sent Regina Lawson an email about Bubba. She said he left after 11th grade and went to school in Whitehall his senior year. She said she was going to tell him about our website and he may be interested in coming.

Lauren~I took you for you word when you said the more merrier. I was just curious as to what happened to some of the people I knew when to school with us seems like almost all the way through.

30/07/08 10:31 AM #521

Hannah Hancock (Maier)

Good morning everyone!
Jil~ What cabin is Bailey in @ brookhill? Samantha went for 7 years as a camper and was a Jr counselor last week (She was in the Pinto cabin). There were 17 kids from Stuttgart there also. Teresa's oldest did go last week also. This was also Cache's 4th year to go as well. He loves it 2. The 7 years Samantha went she always went the same week and that's what everyone else normally does and I think it is so great. She has so many friends from Little Rock and even Louisiana. They all keep in touch. When Sam went back last week all the kids that graduated with her last year were there as JC's also and she loved seeing them again.
I have been praying daily for the family in Hazen., I can't imagine what they are going thru! God has a plan for everything and He will take care of the Families. We just all need to keep them in our prayers for ever, not just now, but for the rest of our lives.

Beth~ Bryan lives in Rossville, TN and he said that there is a camp about 20 miles from him that is great also. I will ask him the name of it. I remember looking at it last year and it was more expensive than Brookhill so I told Cache we would have to wait. It looks more fun for the boys than girls, but I've never been there. I went to Brookhill as well growing up and loved it. Like I told Jil ,Samantha went for 7 years, but last year she went for a total of 3 weeks to Brookhill. That's how much she loves it.

Saranie~ CONGRATS on your wedding.

Jason& Lori~ love the newest pictures on your profile.

Teresa~ Kenny called and wanted your address!!!! ha

30/07/08 03:05 PM #522

Teresa Stovall (Davis)

HANNAH~ HAHA.. I have set up a neighborhood watch team in my new neighborhood. Hannah, thanks for the note you sent my Samantha at camp. She loved getting mail. She loves Brookhill. The only thing I don't like is that she cries to come home. That's not right.. WHO WOULD CRY TO COME HOME WITH ME.. HAHA.... Speaking of neighborhoods. I think Stephen R. lives behind me. Does anyone know if he lives behind 10th street.. I guess that would be 9th I am talking about..duh..

Stephen S. I hope you are having a great time on your honeymoon. I hope you read the 88 forum when you get back to know how to keep a realtionship going.. esp. Kenny Hill.. haha.. They have some good advice. Also did you find any gray shorts in the gym or did you take them on your honeymoon and try them out??

Traci W. Where are you? You said "Traci in the house" and we haven't heard from you since...I guess you wanted all of us to know you were home and in your house. hahah... Did you go and get you oil changed from that good~looking guy I told you about. (not Temp. but Micheal) haha..

Beth D & the class of 89' If we have a class picnic.PLEASE watch your kids around Beth's lil' "angel" AVA... That kid likes to talk about kicking and knocking out people. If she "acts out" what she says she is going to do.. WATCH OUT FOLKS!! She can come up with some stuff. Beth, I think you need to put your Rugrats to bed early like Shelley's kids. Be a good example for them. They need to hang out with my "angels' more often and learn how to act. haha...I found out not to long ago that Beth got kicked out of Mr. Brady's. How many of ya'll got kicked out of a class or got licks from a teacher and why? I only got lunch DT's (in Jr. High) but that was to see the High School guys.

Scott R. Where are you? I am typing like I should and you aren't even on here. I am still waiting to know why my kids aren't "gorgeous like "their mom"?

Lauren H. Where is my Epithet? What kind of forum is this? I don't think i really graduated with this class!!

Shelley S. Hi! It cost to much to call. I'm glad we have this forum too. I still live in Stuttgart.

Jason H. Your son looks just like you. I thought Lori had shrunk you. He is a good-looking kid. You and Lori haven't changed hardly any. Did ya'll know they had to tear down Lori's old house from the tornado. I think Bruce sent Shelley Sawyer a picture of it after they bulldozed it down. That was sad to see. I remember when Lori had a Halloween party at her house and their was a shaving cream party and everybody looked like a bunch of cream puffs walking around. too funny.

30/07/08 03:49 PM #523

Lauren Hartz (Clark)

Teresa- answer your stinkin phone!

30/07/08 05:01 PM #524

Beth Carter (Dawson)

Teresa
I'll just have Ava "bust your tail"!

Yes, my sweet little delicate flower Ava is a stinker. When she gets in trouble or something she tells whoever she is mad at that she is going to bust their tail....at least she doesn't say kick your ass, but by the look on her face that is what she is thinking. She is MEAN!!
I'm going to start following Teresa's parenting technique. She has her kids crying b/c they don't want to go home with her. She must bust their tail everyday.
Teresa....you know I LYLAS!! Who remembers that? What about LLL.....longer letter later!

Anyway
Thanks everybody for all the camp advice.
Hannah I've heard of a camp around here and I bet it is the one Bryan is talking about...if you think about it, ask him. I would love to find out more about it.

I saw where Gator signed up. Gator, if your out there talk to us!! I'd love to hear what your up to...been drinking beer with a Sprite label over it?

30/07/08 05:49 PM #525

Jason Holt

Teresa. I get that comment alot about Dalton. He truly is a little Jason, just ask his mom. That is sad about Loris old house in Stuttgart. We went in it the day after the tornado. Lots of good memories there. I do remember the Halloween party. The cops pulled up and someone threw eggs at them.

30/07/08 08:04 PM #526

Carolyn Tanksley (Wall)

Hey Teresa

Just thought you might want to know, I got a look at Kenny Hill today. I helped Robin Mayhue Minton add a survey for tshirts to their page. While I was in there, I took a look around at all the people who have their profiles blocked from us. =)

31/07/08 04:45 PM #527

Hannah Hancock (Maier)

Carolyn~ Does the class of 88 have just us,the class of 89, blocked or to their classmates also? That is so stupid to block classmates.

Teresa~ You are cracking me up!! Did Samantha have FUN @campI think Stephen R. lives out in the country by Tommy & Debbi Depriest. (also by where Chris Brasko's parents live)

Beth~What about "LOL" which I thought was "Lots of Love", but Samantha said it means "Laugh out Loud"
Here's another~ How many of ya'll wrote this one "BFF"?
I just called Bryan and the name of the camp is Victory Ranch. There web site is: www.victoryranch.org
Check it out. It looks fun! It's in Bolivar, TN.

QUESTION???? HOW MANY OF YA'LL SIGNED YOUR PARENTS NAME ON A REPORT CARD OR HAD A FRIEND LIKE BETH RATCLIFF TO SIGN YOUR PARENTS NAME FOR YOU??? BE HONEST....

Does anyone know where Beth Ratcliff is now? I don't know what made me think of her, but I did. Don't remember what grade she moved in, but I remember her in Jr High signing everyones grades!!!

Got to go. Will be back later.
