Chris Hall

The short story is that I went to the University of Georgia from 1991-1994, got my BFA, lived a life of hedonistic abandon until 2006, when I moved to Philadelphia to go to one of the best Art programs in the country. Now I have my MFA and I am working to get into the NYC art scene.
Along the way I:
1. Sold a bridge in Brooklyn
2. Shot a man in Reno
3. Searched the world over for a Eurotrash Girl.
I'm still not settled . . . but no one ever said the life of an artist would be easy. If there was anything Dinkins taught me, it is never give up, never settle, always improve and keep marching.
You can check out my artwork (1997-2004) at www.sailordrunk.com and see some of my most recent work on myspace page. Hopefully I will have a new, updated website in the near future.
So many wonderful memories. Off the top of my head? How about during rehearsal when I'd set the person next to me sheet music on fire.
I remember playing Shostakovich in St. Petersberg. During the a rest, I looked out to audience, and there was a woman who appeared to have a tears in her eyes. Our music did that! We did that! I knew from that day that I would work in the creative field.
