Funded an eclectic mix of programs,retooling managers to lead HMOS; innovate primary care clinics and school health; pilot an electronic health record decades before its time, programs to prepare minority and rural students for success in medical school Wrote Why women's programs are not for women only. 80'sEarned Rutgers Law JD. Authored obscure Law Review article extending tort liability to benzene induce leukemia! Chose McCarter & English over Wall Street firms. Soon exited to manage state's hospital rate setting and uncompensated care systems. Then, As Deputy Health Commissioner was privileged to work on first generation HIV prevention and initiatives. Son Nathaniel was born We built our dream home!

Returned to private sector then post 9/11worked on federal bio-terror legislation Bioshield, sat on the National Science Advisory Board on Bioterrorism Lots of sad days, followed by happy choice to leave fulltime employment and breathe.
10's Still mastering work life balance with Boards, advisory stints ,a civil law mediation certification If you need someone call! We joyfully watch our sons establish themselves in their professions and lives I've resumed competitive senior tennis, master new electronic devices to prove I can.I rail about the state of the State,watch good films and read as many books as I can before I fall asleep and plan our 50th Wedding anniversary.
