Hello all, it has been a long time. I am looking forward to attending the reunion. This will be my first. I never was big on school functions, sort of just went to school to get it over with. I don't think I was part of the "in" crowd.

Hi Classmates, It has been a very long time and I have missed you all and can not wait to see you'll at the reunion. If anyone can remember me well you know I hated science with a passion, so what field do I end up in the medical field working in the Lab. as a technician getting ready to go back for 2 more years at USF to get my BS in Medical Technologist.

Whatever have happened to the teachers who taught classes in the 1979 time frame? I am curious.

I know Mr. Givens, the English teacher, still lives in the same house in North Tampa. A few of us still visit him and take him out to lunch every year or two. He lost his wife a few years back. Other than that, he looks great and has a mind that is sharp as a tack. Sadly, he still remembers which of us were the slackerds and might have "slightly" plagiarized on a paper or two...

How about Senora Yanes our favorite spanish/homeroom teacher? I thought I heard she only retired 5 yrs or so ago? Bob Price the band director passes away quite a long time ago. It would be great if some of the teachers can come to this reunion. Did any of them come to the previous CHS79 reunions?

As Chuck mentioned earlier, we keep in touch with Mr. Givens and he will be attending the Saturday night dinner for our 30th reunion . He did come to our 20th with his wife. Also, Anthony Cabrera is working with Carlana McCullers to bring Mrs. Barnes (spanish teacher) to this reunion. Anyone who knows a CHS teacher from our era and thinks they would like to attend...Please invite them.

Too bad I am in Sacramento California so I don't get the chance to meet old high school folks.

Yeah I worked with Chuck Prather (Hi Chuck!) in Cash 'n Carry on Florida Ave (I think but not sure about location) in 1977 - 78 time frame and haven't seen him since. He's a very nice guy :)

Hey those in charge of the reunion: Can we have our Yearbbok picture on the Nametags again, because I look at all the current pictures submitted here and those we have submitted of our children: young adults and teens. I see YOU all in your kids, but I sure don't know if I would know people by our current look. I wouldn't know myself either...don't get me wrong, but it amazes me how we have come 30 yrs and now we have our kid (older teens and adults) looking as I remember us, "back in the day". Please help me out with Yr book pics that I can associate with the current "47year mature" look we have now.

Thanks for adding our Graduation pics to some of the profiles that really helps me identify our classmates. I haven't figured out why some pics are not included...did they not have a graduation picture to include or is it a privacy issue? Thanks for the picture though it is great to see the 1979 person again.

Some have asked not to add a picture to their profile, but for the most part it just takes time to get it all done. It is work in progress and should continue to grow over the next few months. If anyone should happen to have any pictures from our senior year, please forward them to me via e-mail. (Tampadiamonds@aol.com) Don't send originals, rather scan them and send them in a file. It would be great to hear any and all suggestions that you may have as we move forward to the reunion date.
