Melva Hume (Hill)

My photographer, Roy Brewer, got so wrapped up in the reunion and visiting with everyone he forgot to take a lot of pictures. I have been trying to get pictures from other people and a few of you did send me some. Thank you for that. This website was a challenge for me because I had never done anything like this before and now this slideshow is even another challenge. I have been half way through and lost it twice. I think I have finally figured it out and it is almost finished. I promise, it will be on here by the end of tomorrow, Thanksgiving Day. I am now trying to add music but if I can't figure it out, I will put it on anyway.

The "Sample" slideshow does not have pictures just 4 slides. I didn't want to do all the work if I couldn't get it to work.

Promise, tomorrow the Slide Show will be on here.

Has anyone talked to Amos Snider? I have emailed him a couple times but no response. I think we should talk about him (Amos, it would have to be good) and maybe he will respond.

Happy Thanksgiving! I am thankful for many things and one of them is having the opportunity to go to school with all of you and having you as my friends.

New Years Prayer To You All

Dear Lord,
In the new year, we pray
that You will guide us each new day
in paths that are pleasing to You.
Lord, the new year gives us another chance
to rededicate our lives to You,
to study Your Word
so that we know right from wrong
and to act in accordance with Your commands.
Thank you for the sense of
direction, purpose and peace we get
from aligning our lives with Your Holy will.
We pray for the strength and the will to obey You
each and every day of the new year,
and when we fail, we pray for Your mercy,
Your compassion, Your grace and Your love.
Help us in the new year to be your faithful servants.
In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen

Happy New Year to everyone. I finally viewed the slideshow last night and I enjoyed it so much! Melva, thank you so much for all your hard work. I know you are busy and I trully appreciate all you have done to get us together again. Thanks to all the people who worked so hard on our reunion. I had a wonderful time and I really do look forward to seeing you all again. The night just flew by and there just wasn't enough time to catch up with everyone.

Amos, thanks for the note. I would still love to see you sometime.

I hope this will be a great year for all of us!
Love,
Debbie Jo

It has been awhile since I have posted. Amos is right, my life is sooo busy. I keep thinking I will be able to slow down someday but I don't know how to say NO. I hope everyone had a wonder Christmas and New Year. My grandson is 5 this year and he had the best Christmas. It was fun watching him unwrap his presents and then he wanted to help everyone else. Grandchildren are really GRAND. I wish everyone would post one of your favorite Christmas picture on your profile page. Please, everyone, lets keep this going. I enjoy reading and communicating with everyone. I know several of you are reading the message forum but not posting. Get out on the edge and let us know what is going on in your life.

If anyone has an update on Julia Downs, I really wish you would let us know on this Message Forum. I am sure she needs our prayers.

Keep posting, Melva
