You may not remember me from Longfellow Linda Schatton maiden name now Gartenberg.

Jini and I were best friends at Longfellow Elementary School. We were regularly at each others house.I have wonderful memories of Jini, our friendship and her family. I still have a hand knitted comforter her mother made me as wedding gift. Jini and I reconnected about 2 years ago by phone. She has always been in my thoughts and cherish our memories. My  deepest condolences to David, their sons and grandchildren. May she rest in peace and her memories be a comfort to all her family

Hi John, I hope this finds you and your family doing well. I want to thank you for the posting and remembering Jay. Clearly his gentle nature was life long. I lost touch with Jay after Longfellow but always remembered him with his funny and quiet nature. I’m very sorry for your lose. It is quite clear that you, Phil Van Saun and Phil Hacker we’re fortunate to remain in his life. Thank you for your kindness.

Although I have not seen Jay in years I remember him well from Longfellow days. Jay was always sweet and kind with a quiet sense of humor. If my memory serves me right I recall him joking about having to stay out of trouble because one of his relatives was a judge in Teaneck! It's comforting to hear what a full life Jay created and not surprising with his intelligence and determination. I'm sending sincerest condolences to Jay's wife and children. May their memories comfort them.
