Gene Cohen Gilbert

Rudy and I are living happily ever after and will be celebrating our 29th wedding anniversary this July. We have two terrific children and are truly blessed. Our daughter,Alison, graduated from GW in '07 and after having considered attending law school, decided to pursue her passion and is a recent graduate from the French Culinary Institute. Alison resides in NYC and recently moved from employment at The Core Club as a pastry chef and is now working for a cutting edge online food magazine, Tasting Table. Our son, Steven, just completed his sophomore year at the University of Wisconsin and continues to be quite focused on his studies. Rudy is involved in sales, related to the transportation industry after having previously owned his own import company. I have enjoyed my professional life as a teacher of Spanish since having graduated from George Washington University in 1973. For the past 10 years I have also served as an adjunct professor at Monmouth University and along the way earned my Masters in Educational Leadership. We have been fortunate to travel extensively throughout the world and am currently planning another trip to Spain, departing June 29th '09. I anticipate a great trip accompanied by Rudy, my sister and brother-in-law, a friend from school and 25 high school students! Among our more memorable family trips have been of late to Costa Rica, Greece and to the Dominican Republic when we travelled with several families of Steven's football buddies. Great fun!
And speaking of fun....I very much look forward to seeing my fellow classmates June 6, 2009!!!!!!!
