David was also involved in the Teaneck Community Band for many years.  We often played in the band together.

These inevitabilites never feel right; always too soon, always leave shock and emptiness. Even though I had not been in touch with Jeff for so many years, following him on Facebook kept that strong connection from such wonderful times alive, active and memorable.   I so vividly remember the many times I played baseball with Jeff and the gang (including Jon Dreazen, Carl Chenkin, Steven Emanuel) at Whittier, Bryant and sometimes at the high school.  I was always grateful that Jeff's fast-breaking curve ball quickly convinced me of another career path besides baseball.  (There were other indications, but Jeff’s pitches were decisive.)  These were memorable moments and great years; a pained nostalgia to reflect on them now.
