You would probably think it was me because me and the Bagwell went round and round all the time--but it wasn't me. Dog Poopie!!!! Not my style!!!

Now that sounds like a Clifford David prank. I don't remember it but sounds like someone would have been bragging about it at sometime or another. Did someone say she retired shortly after we left jr.high? If so, I wonder why???

Dog Poopie - that's why I think it was a guy. But then it was gift wrapped - would a guy do that?

You crack me up! Biggest laugh I had today. All so innocent - just as you were at camp. You could probably sweet talk yourself right out of just about anything!

I know it wasn't me because it didn't happen when I was in her class. It must have been in another BAD English class.

Hi all,
It's Grandma Carrie here, doin' a little braggin' - that's my beautiful granddaughter, Ronneigh, in the photo with Janice and Harold Williams (her great-aunt and uncle, Emily Williams is her maternal grandmother.) Their family and the baskets are also the subject of one of our downtown murals.

I just noticed on the class photos on the "early years" page. The picture of first grade, that's not Ken Perry, he was in my first grade class with Mrs.
Howitz.

Lots of people are on vacation (wish I was with 'em) and some folks are not inclined to blog. Whatever works for them.

I was looking at the missing classmates page and LaHa Huizar said his brother Junior (Epifanio) lives in Tehachapi, so he shouldn't be too hard to find.

I was looking at the group pictures on the home page and I mentioned to Becky a while back at our 10yr. the person taking the group photos was taking money for copies, well I handed over my money for a print but, never got it.
So, if any of you have group photos of our past reunions I'd like to get copies-- please.
10yr., 15yr.,20yr.,30yr.
Like they say "a picture is worth a thousand words". Well, these pictures are worth a million memories.

I remember the lady who took the pictures - still in town by the way. I spoke with her on several occasions in an attempt to get those pictures from her and all she had to say was that she was working on it. I'm not sure anyone got their pictures. Personally, I think she lost the film and wouldn't 'fess up.

This time, we are taking our own pictures and will be posting them on the website. In addition, we will be able to send copies of pictures by email.

So take heart - there will be pictures (probably more than we want). :)

You might want to contact Donna. She might have some good ones from past reunions.

I remember at our 10yr some lady taking pics and I don't think anyone ever got their copies and I asked her (now I can't remember who she was) for a really long time, where they were. Is that the same one you're talking about Becky? I'm sure she lost the film the way I remember her acting when I brought it up. I think she banked at one of the banks I worked at, but age has dimmed a lot of those memories. The problem is, some I wish would dim, haven't! Getting old sucks!!

That's what happened. She never offered to refund anyone's money either!!!!!!!!!!!

GREAT TRUTHS THAT ADULTS HAVE LEARNED:

1) Raising teenagers is like nailing jello to a tree
2) Wrinkles don't hurt.
3) Families are like fudge...mostly sweet, with a few nuts.
4) Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground.
5) Laughing is good exercise. It's like jogging on the inside.
6) Middle age is when you choose your cereal for the fiber, not the toy.

GREAT TRUTHS ABOUT GROWING OLD

1) Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional.
2) Forget the health food. I need all the preservatives I can get.
3) When you fall down, you wonder what else you can do while you're down there
4) You're getting old when you get the same sensation from a rocking chair that you once got from a roller coaster.
5) It's frustrating when you know all the answers but nobody bothers to ask you the questions.
6) Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician.
7) Wisdom comes with age, but sometimes age comes alone.

Oh Becky, You certainly hit the nail on the head with that quote! I've heard Little Jimmy Dickins on the Grand Ol Opry quote some of those, but the funniest and maybe truest is the one: "You know you're getting old when your wife says 'honey let's run upstairs and make love' and you answer 'ok, but I cannot do both!'

Emailed almost everyone personally today regarding the lodging arrangements. Forgot one important detail----

The phone number for the Best Western Country is 661-823-1800. Don't forgot to reference the Tehachapi 69 reunion.

When making a reservation please try to speak with either Priscilla Allison, or Debra Tangren.

For those of you that I sent the same email twice, I apologize....

About the trivia question. Wasn't that a soap opera called "Peyton Place"?? I remember Mia Farrow and Ryan O'neal in something like that. Anyone else remember??

Eleazar Huizar

HELLO EVERYBODY THAT READS THIS. THIS IS ELI OR LAHA, AND DON'T REALLY KNOW WHAT NAME YOU GUYS REMEMBER ME BY. I'M SO AMAZED AT THE COMMENTS OR EXPERIENCES IN BAGWELL'S 8TH GRADE CLASS. I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONE THAT DROVE HER CRAZY BUT I'M REALLY SURPRISED AT HOW MANY OF US THERE WERE. WOW! I WAS A GOOF-OFF BUT NOT CRAZY ENOUGH TO GIVE HER SUCH A PRESENT. MY LAST INCIDENT WAS WHEN I RAISED MY HAND TO ANSWER A QUESTION AND I SAID "I KNOW MISS HAGWELL" AND SHE STOOD ME IN THE HALLWAY AND GOOD OLE MR SOLOMON SAW ME AND TOOK ME IN THE OFFICE AND WHAMMM! I GOT A SWAT (REMEMBER THOSE DAYS?) WE'LL TALK MORE ABOUT THE GOOD YOUNG DAYS SOON. SEE YOU SOON GUYS. ELI
