Mimi Hernandez

Here I am updating my background. I am one not to keep still but keep busy doing something or trying something different. After working with the State of CA and retiring early I enjoyed relaxing at home for a while. I enjoyed volunteering for a charity organization and met some fabulous people. No matter their misfortunes they still had loving hearts as we helped them. I helped the elderly as a Care Giver. It's sad to see family who don't come and visit or call. You can't just put them in a home like giving away an animal and letting someone else care for them. Don't forget your elders and if they are in rest homes, your life isn't that busy that you can't make time to drop by and talk, love and thank them. Some day, God give us life, we will be them and as the saying goes "What goes around, comes around". I am now working as a Funeral Assistant and it isn't that bad. It is a profession I would have never thought of. It has been rewarding because I am there to help the families and help them through their loss. It gives me a different outlook on life and our families. A lot of work goes in from the beginning to the last visitor leaves. Who knows what lies ahead for me, but I have always enjoyed meeting and working with the public. This all started during high school I remember working in the front office with Mrs. Barras. I guess I see myself as a people person: I can start a conversation with a stranger and not be a stuck up, yet walk away like we've known each other for a while. Smile! don't be hesitant to help someone even for the pettiest thing. For them it is a blessing as well as for you! Bye for now-maybe update later. l.o.l.
