We are very sad to have lost Bekki; I'm glad that our reunion planning resulted in us reconnecting and in having a chance to meet her very beautiful children and grandson as well as a chance to see her sister Priscilla again. Bekki has gone on to a better place but we will miss her.Becky Markey (Smith)
It's hard to put into words all the good things about Bekki. When we moved back home to Tehachapi she was living here too. When I had my son Andy, she was his Godmother. She came to visit him often. He has always thought of her as a very special person in his life. She had such a sweet nature. When she moved away, her aunt Maria and sister Carmen kept me current with what was going on in her life.I was thrilled when she came on the website and we once again could "talk". I think she will have what most of us hope for and that is for people to smile when they remember her. She was a good person through and through.
RIP Dear Bekki.

Those who knew and loved Bekki do not understand why God chose to take her so soon, leaving us with such sadness,But we can take comfort in the fact that we know she is in a better place –
Bekki touched many people’s lives in a different and distinctive way, unique to each and every one of us.
Each of us holds her in our heart with a special memory.
Possessed with a sense of humor, she was a keen observer of human nature, and had an indomitable spirit. Her life was one filled with courage, strength, faith and optimism.
We will miss you Bekki.

It is just too hard to put into words the grief I have felt the last two days. 12 of our classmates taken from us too soon. Bekki was such a unique and strong person. She was the one person I could go to for advice and she would give it to me straight--no BS about it. She was my guest book attendent at my wedding way back on Aug 30th 1970, which also happened to be her birthday. She was a dear friend. She was loved dearly and will be missed terribly.
I find some comfort knowing you are with your parents and sister now. God give peace to your sister Priscilla, your children and grandson.

My heart is so heavy with sadness as I think about losing Bekki, such a few days short of getting to see her again. We are not guaranteed tomorrow, and Bekki's passing brings that home in a very personal way. I feel privileged to have known Bekki, even tho we haven't corresponded until this website (thank you Claudia and Becky) I have wonderful memories of Bekki from school. I remember her infections laugh and giggle and her bright smile. I remember spending the night with her once and being introduced to tortillas for breakfast, it was a new experience for a country girl whose introduction to 'Mexican food' had been rice and beans!! Her mom and dad were so gracious. My love and sympathy go out to her children and grandson and her sister Priscilla who I remember as a very sweet person. God Bless you Bekki. You made our lives richer by your example of friendship, love, devotion and strength.
