Yes! Attending Reunion
Comments

I am looking forward to seeing all of you who attend our 50 year reunion!!! I do hope a lot of you decide to come!!
I graduated from TCHS mid-year went straight to PCC and earned my RN at age 19. I met Sam and we got married in 1975. I worked at Huntington memorial hospital in maternity/nursery until 1990(stopped working after 4th child).
One of my big joys was homeschooling all but one of my children.
We had a big surprise in the year 2000 with the birth of our son.
My husband retired in 2003 and we started working and managing our small orange grove located in the Central Valley. I enjoy Bunco and book club up here and our wonderful local church.
Our four daughters have college degrees and are married.
Our son is 22 and attending UCSD.
We have nine grandchildren so far-6 girls, 3 boys.

School Story

I have so many happy memories from TCHS. I can still remember the excitement of starting my freshman year. Football games and basketball games were so exciting due to great coaches and our great athletes.
I was in choir and participated in two plays and enjoyed attending plays I was not in(starting with lil Abner).
I was in drill team in my junior year and that was a lot of fun.
One year I worked in the outdoor cafeteria. We had to figure out all the totals and change in our heads. I can still remember people ordering sweet rolls and fries!!!!!
Yikes!!
Temple City provided me with a great education. I can’t name them all- but so many great teachers.
I do wish I could remember more of the students. When I look at the list and look in the annual I see a lot of names and faces I don’t think I ever knew.
However, lots of memories of so many- especially so many that went to La Rosa/Cloverly.
See you guys soon!!!

I for one am having difficulty wrapping my head around that reality. I don’t feel like I am almost 70.
Now I am quite a bit younger than most of you since my birthday is in November!!! I know Toni Perfecto and Jane Kane are younger than me.
I know reunions are hard to organize, but my husbands class had casual get together at the boat(like we did Friday night). Perhaps we could consider trying that!

I also want to say a big “THANK YOU “ to all of the work and heart that went into making our reunion possible! A special thank you to Mike Ferraro for taking the leadership role-fantastic job! Robbie Jones, the TCHS site is awesome! I heard at the reunion that Janet and Andy donated the hors d’oeuvres? If I got that right I’d like to say a special thank you- they were delicious! Randy Hoffman deserves a special thank you for the school tour-
The racetrack made a special venue- the flowers, memory table, name tags, etc. made it super special. Also the music, thank you Kevin, and the videos!
However, what made it the most special was the people! I know I didn’t get to talk to everyone or even hear all I would have liked to about each of you, but that is life. I will cherish this time together. Many were unable to come- we missed you!
For me, personally, this event was a catalyst to rekindle old friendships with very special friends(Jan Kane, Sharon Vonderohe, Toni Perfetto, Linda Dickason) This is priceless to me.
I have a special place in my heart for the La Rosa/Cloverly students- great memories.
I also was able to talk to some of you that I may not have really known you and I wish I had cause you are amazing- love to you all.

Ok! So I can’t wait to see all of you that are coming to the reunion! I will miss the many who are not able to attend! I also want to thank all of you who have worked to organize our reunion!
I feel blessed to have attended Temple City schools from kindergarten (La Rosa) through high school. This reunion has provided an opportunity to connect with many of you, which is priceless!!!
