Marian Armstrong Millo

After HS graduation I married and became an Army wife. I was able to travel as a result and live in Mass., Florida and Okinawa. Motherhood really agreed with me as I was blessed with four beautiful children. I also worked for Ma Bell, in Law Enforcement and Social Service careers. After working for Texas Department of Public Safety for 10 years, I made a career change to the Medical field. At UTMB, Galveston, I worked in Telemedicine (TDCJ) and Cytopathology for 5 years before the mandatory layoff after Hurricane Ike. I enjoyed working as a Clinic Coordinator for the Docs and Residents. It was quite an education, like going to mini-medical school. On 2/29/12, I officially retired from the State of Texas. My husband Harry and I have been married for almost 16 years. My children and 11 grandkids are the pride and joy of my life! In July 2012 I will be celebrating 7 years out from Breast Cancer. I renew each new day by counting my blessings one by one! Life is Good!

My greatest recollections in HS were Choir and Drama centered activities. Junior year was my favorite, highlighted by being cast as the female lead, Laurie, in the 1967 production of "Oklahoma" opposite Bill Sherr (Curly).
