Shan Ellena O'Steen Russell

After graduating from TCH in '68, I moved to Birmingham, Alabama to be with my grandparents. I went to work at South Central Bell and attended the University of Alabama in Birmingham.

I married in 1970 and had three children. I am now single and work as a paralegal in a large law firm.

I enjoy painting, dancing, traveling, etc.

No one who knows me now believes me when I tell them that I was very, very, very shy in high school. I am now very outgoing, athletic, always into something because I love to have fun.

I have some really good memories and some very sad memories from TCH. I dated Terry Garris in 1967. He was killed in 1969 while trying to rescue someone at one of the plants. My best friend was Penny, who was also killed in a car wreck in 1968.

I wish I had not been so shy and was like I am now because I would have gotten to know more of you.

When I attended the 20 year reunion, everyone thought my husband was the one who graduated from TCH.

Because of my job, I missed the 40 year reunion but look forward to seeing everyone at the next.
