I see political journalism in her future and definitely local government. She's already started with a position on the Northglenn Youth Commission. I also have 2 stepchildren. Chris and Kendra, both are in college and live in Longmont. |

After graduating I attented college for a few years, but continued to work at Answer Mart. In 1992 I got married...and let's just say it was a very long 7 years...from begining to end!! In 1998, Byron and I (Byron is from the class of 1987 at Highland) took over the business, when both of our mothers became ill and were unable to do so. It's been tough, but I've just passed my 20yr of being here at the answering svc. I started working here as a Junior in High School, so who would of thought!! It wasn't exactly what I had intended to do, but after I divorced some time ago, it really did give me the opportunity to dedicate the time I wanted to my daughter. In July I'll be celebrating my 4th anniversary with my husband Doug. After both of us took a long leave from the LDS church, we met up in the singles program and have lived happily everafter since! He's an electronic tech in Longmont and has computer nerd as his middle name. Between my husband and Byron, the men in my life keep me busy, but I'd be lost without the both of them. Until just a few years ago Denett and I hung out and spent family time together on a regular basis. I just seen Kristi Kovach not to long ago. Her family and I go to church together, so it's been amazing to see some of her little brothers grow up to be grown men.
My biggest hobby is scrapbooking. I've been scrapbooking for more then 12 years now and nothing is better then getting away to a weekend retreat. I also love all things "domestic". My friends call me Martha. Interior decorating and cooking is just in my blood!! Oh..and I can't forget the Colorado Mammoth. We're huge Lacross fans.
Okay..Yes I know I was the poster child for Clean and Sober..I realize now I had to have been Mr. Aragon's favorite, because that man sent me to every training session and camp possible. Now to add to that, I show up at my daughters school, go in to talk to her Math teacher and low and behold, Mr. Aragon is her SUB. That was a flashback and made me feel oh..so old. Last year she also had an orchestra concert, Bryon shows up and realizes her year long Orchestra sub-teacher was one of the music teachers in Highland. Again..Feeling OLD!!
Okay..now on to the memories. Lets just say, the time you JOCKS and not so nice boys (most of you have already logged on here) showed up at our SADD Float meeting at Fred's house with not so nice intentions!! Don't remember exactly how that ended up, but I remember it being NOT GOOD!
I remember most of you not letting us know where the Senior Ditch day party was going to be so we just had our own!!
I remember thinking Jamie Rowan was way to cool for going to "college" for math!
I remember thinking that the waters would part for Mr. Quarterback Ortega. 88 Ortega, not 87 Ortega.
I remember, you thinking Fred (the first real punker) in our school was the end to society. Thank god you all didn't have to deal with the GOTH world and "Emo" children as my daughter now calls them.
I remember going through 2 years of Spanish, Mr. Gomez, not caring what we did and me cheating my whole way through..from Eric (an older kid) who ended up being my Cousin in Law years later.
I remember thinking it was really cool to have Kathleen be my friend and on the boys baseball team because it gave us a few more connections...but none of them working!!
I remember bonfires..Now it would be the end of the world...because it's not GREEN!
Trying to explain to all you DRINKERS..that SADD didn't make us total geeks, just made us not want to see you splattered on the street!!
Everyone insisting our English teacher had posed nude in a magazine. Can't remember her name, but someone mentioned it in their profile.
The photography darkroom. Let's just say, we all loved to push the boundaries in their a bit.
Shane's ABS...Hopefully you'll show up here Shane. It's been too long!
Denett cutting her hair shorter every year and you guys not noticing her till AFTER graduation. Oh..the stories I heard!!
Living at Wendy's, Churches Chicken and Little Ceasar's. Actually wanting to go to the dollar movies and having 2 of them at our disposal.
Moving to Thornton and living in the same "house" with Davina.
Thinking North Valley and Northglenn mall were cool. Going to haunted houses in Northglenn mall back when they weren't stage productions and cost 20.00 a pop.
Having my mom get a stripper for my 18th birthday party and you guys were all still to young. Just one little secret from your parents didn't hurt anything.
Having my mom be the supplier and contributor to Denett showing up at the dance BLASTED out of her mind and trying to keeping her standing and not grinding with the boys to much. She almost got caught..it was way to close for comfort on that one!
Going to someone's graduation party..can't say who..and sneaking off..with can't say who...
Shane and Byron, lurking out my windows at night to FREAK ME OUT..Maybe seeing a bit to much on occasion!!
Going to the Rush and Hollywood Legends for teen night. Rock Island opening and Fred trying to drag me into that WORLD of craziness!!
Learning to make a dice came in computer class in DOS format and thinking it was really cool to use the computer lab. To top that, Kristi actually having a computer for me to do my reports on! Ohhhh...Awwww!! Never dreaming 20 years later I'd have 5 computers in my home!

Most of the memories didn't stop there...Hawaii couldn't come soon enough for us the day after graduation and Fred, Dennet, I had a blast meeting up with Kathleen in Waikiki and realizing bars don't close till 4am there.
The little Eric Miller you all knew became a "Man" in the Navy right before my eyes!
Shane Coleman played some music at my first wedding in 92..and was still a "clown" as you all remember him.
Kristi ended up being the Mormon mom she was so meant to be...I became her Mormon mom apprentice...but didn't produce as many children..LOL
Denett..we watched each other go through a few relationships...a couple split ups and a few children here and there. All I can say is..she's was as Feisty as ever, the last time I seen her..and Denett...I'm okay with PDA..really I am!!
