Posted on my facebook page 9/18/16:    Yesterday was the culmination of several days this past week celebrating the Central Catholic High School Class of 1966 - A Mass (which had the most beautiful former Central 2014 grad as soloist), a cocktail hour, Alumni Central Glee Club, special appearance and performance from several musicians from the 1966 graduating class, and then dancing, dancing, dancing. Several mini-reunions, from various Catholic elementary schools, were also celebrated during the main reunion, including St. Stanislaus (which we agreed had the largest representative group). Mucho thanks go out to all the 1966 alumni that spent countless hours for well over a year to put all the festivities together - you ALL did such a wonderful job. It's amazing that NO one has aged in all of these years - we were all blessed with spectacular genes! The energy, and camaraderie, was energizing! And, the tribute to the deceased alumni was especially touching. Great, great memories, especially with my gal friends, some well over 60+ years. God Bless you all!

Well it appears that my biorhythms were pretty much spot on.  I was at about 98% physically, well I did process into Mass and get to the lectern sans my cane; I was an ' emotional wreck' but those 2 Bud Lights kept me from an outward display, yeah right; and I think alll who spoke with me quickly realized I was only at 10%, if that, of my intellectual abilities but then again some of you may not have even noticed.  I am hoping we can do it again in 2021,  Not that my biorhythms will be better. It is because I had such a damn good time.  Hope y'all did too.

Sandra has been in Adelaide virtually her whole time down under. Don't think she is too big on the internet. Almost impossible to get thru to her.

To all,

It warmed my heart to see so many wonderful classmates again after many years.  I too had the most wonderful time visiting with so many.  And seeing someone's face in person, even briefly, was so worth it.  Tim Waltzer was reponsible for getting The Six Pies back together for this, so he deserves a ton of credit for making that happen.  Blessing to you all.

I loved seeing so many classmates again!! So sorry I had to miss 6 pies and dinner and dancing. Another family commitment took me away. I would have loved to visit with many more alums. What a wonderful job Pat and all the committees did. So loved seeing the ones I could talk to in such a short amount of time. What a beautiful candlelight tribute to those who have passed. Love you, Sue Lindsay Hicks

Hey John Szy !

I want you to know you cost me a fortune,.,I was betting on the shirt. Hah! Obviously, I lost. I should have known better.  Never thought watching someone going through an Anger Management Moment could be so hilarious. Thank you my friend for a very special Moment for all of us. The talent of the Pies lives on. It will last forever !

Ok. I can't help but speak out and thank all of those classmates who work so hard to make it such fun four days.  Who would have thought that a bunch of old people could be so much fun. Lol. Thank you all for a great time.

Thanks, Mike S., for the update about Sandra.   Although I lived in the Melbourne area, I also found my way to Adelaide, especially when Kathy's or my folks would come over for a visit.  Beautiful area.  Again...... Thanks!

What a fantastic reunion. Special thanks to Paul and Jackie, Pat, and everyone who worked on the reunion committee. And a big thanks to Rosie for organizing the monthly luncheons, the glue that brought it all together. I only made it to two but decided then that there was no way Rick and I would miss this historic event. A shout out to the 6 Pies for capturing the spirit of the 60's and confirming that we're all still young at heart. I only wish there had been more time to visit with everyone. That said I look forward to seeing everyone in five years (at least Pat thought  we could do it again in 5).  God Bless.

Forgot to mention the incredible Mass Cantor, Sandy Barrow's daughter, I think. She has the voice of an angel, and I appreciate her taking the time to make our reunion Mass extra special. Please forward our thanks to her.

Special "Thank You"  Pat, Paul, Rosie and all who worked on the reunion committee, planning and meeting over the past two years so we all could have a magical night.  I read the memory book all the way home on the plane and love it, it is a keepsake!  Thank you all so much for that too.  Like the quote on the cover says, "we passed to the future through the last door, never quite completely shutting it on the unparalleled period of our high school years."    1966 at CCHS was the best year, had the best class, the best reunion and The 6 Pies!          Ruth Thomas (Hanclosky)

Thank you to the entire reunion committee!!  You guys did a fantastic job.  It was so much fun visiting with everyone, the weekend went by too quickly.  It was the best reunion ever, we'll be talking about it for a long time.  Can't wait for the next one!  Thanks also to Rose for always organizing the monthly luncheons, it's always fun getting together.  Thanks again for such a fun weekend!!

What an unforgettable weekend! Thank you to Rose, Pat, Paul and all those who worked so hard to make it such a success. It was great to visit with so many classmates. If only we could have met for another day or two, as there wasn't enough time to chat with everyone...such a great turn-out! And the entertainment was superb, thank you Pie-men!

Also, I have a black leather-like jacket that someone left at the Dirty Bird Friday night.

Did anyone notice any names missing from the roster? For example, what happened to Dennis Gray?

I am saddened to hear about my long, lost friend, Kathy.  We were close a long time ago, but as usual time marches on and we lost touch.  She was a beautiful spirit and will be thought of often.
