Larry A. Reser passed away November 2, 2014 in Topeka. He was born in Topeka April 11,1942 to Velma and Virgil Reser. Thanks to Tim Stone for reporting his passing.
Larry was my friend from Quincy Grade School in North Topeka through Curtis and beyond high school. I enjoyed seeing him at one of our reunions, we sat at a table talking about the old gang from Curtis Junior High. Larry kept track of many of our classmates. We visited by phone a couple of years ago and he brought me up to date on everyone I asked about.
I went on to college and Vietnam and Larry we to work at "the shops" and loss of hearing in one ear kept him out of the military. Larry was a father and grandfather, he was always cheerful and up for an adventure. A good guy.
We've have learned recently that Larry's death occured on November 2, 2014 at a home care facility in Shawnee Kansas. He was surrounded by his 3 children and 12 grandchildren. After THS he became a boilermaker, retiring for the Burlington Santa Fe Railroad after 30 years of service. He is said to have loved his family, friends and co-workers at the Railroad.
