Eugene (Gene) S. Linn is a Viet Nam era veteran. After graduating from Washburn the US Army took advantage of Gene's intelligence and sent him to school to learn Chinese. Gene lived in China and other parts of Asia for awhile. With his knowing Chinese and being as intelligent as he was he studied the Chinese economy and published reports for financial firms back in the states.
Per Ron (Herb) Williams :Ron and Gene were best friends. Gene had a good sense of humor. He was born in Portland, OR December 13, 1946 a Friday. Ron and Gene were in Alpha Kappa Lambda together. Gene and Ron met in the 8th grade at Topeka Lutheran School. They played everything together from basketball and tennis to pinocle.
Gene was married to Lillian. He really loved his kids and sometimes sent Ron pictures.
He had a valve replacement in the early 2000's but came through okay and continued to jog.
From Tom Odell: In our senior year I asked Gene to help me study for the final in Advanced algebra. Gene was a really good teacher. So good that I received a better score on the final than Gene which didn't set well with Gene which is understandable. .

Hi Gary,
I agree with Jan Perney’s comment. You should come to a class reunion and see how the rest of us have aged also.
Haven’t seen you or Bob Coe in decades .
