After High School, I was a member of local Topeka Bands "The Argons", & "The Jerms". After Vietnam, I played again for a while in 1970 & 1971, but found that I had lost my enthusiasm for music.

Upon returning from Vietnam (USMC), I worked for SBC (The Phone Company) for almost 40 years. Then in semi-retirement, I did contract computer programming, website development, and IT Management work part-time, and (I almost forgot) got "blown up" in the 1995 Murrah Federal Building bombing - I was in the building right across the street.

These days I spend as much time on the beaches as I do anywhere else - "La vida es buena"!
School Story:

Moved to HPHS in 1961 (2nd half of Sophomore year, I think) from Ruskin Heights in KC Missouri.

Activities: Leading and Major roles in Drama Dept productions of "The Romancers" & "Dinny & the Witches"

Favorite Hangouts: Allens Drive In, National Guard Armory "HI-FI Club", Po' Richards, Red Barn Teen Dance Club, The Sugar Shack Teen Dance Club, Topeka Civic Theatre, and anywhere that needed live music from our bands (The Argons and the Jerms)

First Kiss/Love/Broken Heart: Sheryl Thomas (Class of 64)

Memory of HPHS in 1963: The smell of English Leather Cologne in the halls!

For those who may remember what I was like in High School, I would only quote the lyrics of a song I admire:

Dear Classmates:
I am deeply disappointed that I will be unable to join you this weekend for our 55th reunion celebrations. As some of you may know, we experienced two Category 5 Hurricanes within a week last fall and I am still trying to get all the repairs made to my home here in St Thomas, Virgin Islands. Have a great time & I will be with you in spirit.
