Class Of 1966
Charities & Fun
This website started as a prayer chain for Jim Cooper way back in 2002. I have always been in contact with Jim off and on and he told me that he had cancer. I immediately wanted to start a prayer chain, but who could I send it to? I only knew a few people that new Jim. So I got on classmates.com and found everyone in our class there and send them a note to pray for Jim. This started a list of email addresses of our classmates that I didn't know what to do with and I didn't want to lose the contact so I started a site on msn.com for our class to keep together.
So thanks to Jim and his cancer, we are all coming back together for the common good of the class to reunite and to be there when they need lifting up or helped out. Any cause of Jim's is a cause of mine. Im so happy that he is in remission and his life has turned around and become an extremely happy place for him.

www.oldpueblofoundation.org FOUNDED BY NICK JONES
Nick Jones
Chief Executive Officer
nickjones@helptucson.org
520-445-7070
Nick co-founded Old Pueblo Community Services in 1996 and currently serves as Chief Executive Officer. The transitional housing programs—Casa Santa Clara for men and Oasis House for Women—were the fulfillment of Nick’s dream to help men and women coming out of prison, serving those with drug and alcohol problems...helping this population adjust to reintegration into the community, helping them adjust to freedom and learn to become productive members of society. Nick’s wife, Leah, was instrumental in establishing the Oasis House for Women.
Nick is a Viet-Nam veteran who served in the U.S. Army from 1968-1970 and has spent 15 years in federal and state prisons. The principles of Old Pueblo Community Services programs are based on his experience with the Impact Drug and Alcohol Treatment Program in Pasadena, California, where he previously worked. Nick advocates for more substance abuse treatment program funding rather than spending money to build new prisons.
Statistics indicate that without support to provide stability and encourage recovery, up to half will return to prison within 3 years.
