
Julia Tomoko Nagano
July 13, 1948 - July 19, 2016
Julia Tomoko Nagano, known to her family as Tomo, passed away at age 68 on July 19, 2016. She peacefully succumbed to cancer which returned after a 6-year remission. She is survived by her husband of 45-years, Lance; sons Kevin (Kim Kika) and Robert (Kelly) and two granddaughters, Austin and Mara; sister Joyce Tanaka and several nieces and nephews.
Julia was a lifelong resident of Torrance, graduating from Torrance High before pursuing her Bachelor's degree at Cal State University Long Beach. She retired after a 39-year public relations career with the City of Los Angeles, most recently with the Port. During her successful career she received numerous commendations and awards, not only on the city level, but county and state.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, July 28, 9:00am at the Green Hills Memorial Park Chapel. Casual attire (aloha wear) is encouraged. -
