Audrey, congrats on your book about Judson Philips! He directed me in "The Odd Couple" at Torrington Civic Theatre in 1972, and he invited me and other community theater actors to volunteer at Sharon Playhouse, in return for which we got to see summer stock plays like "The Gingerbread Lady" and "End of Summer," actors like young Olympia Dukakis, then an unknown. At a cast party for "Odd Couple," he said, "No one ever said, 'I'm going to hear a play.' It's a visual art form above all." His direction was superb. He told the actor playing Oscar to face away from the audience and project a specific emotion without the audience being able to see his face. He told the women portraying the Pigeon sisters to "make every man in the audience want you." If I had known you were working on this book, I would have asked to be interviewed.

Linda Cavanaugh, another '65 alum (nee DeMichiel) reached out to me in August and invited me to be a guest on her "Eye 2 Eye" segment of Nutmeg TV, a cable station based in Farmington. This is the result: http://nutmegtv.org/video-on-demand/single/?id=32353
Hey Butch! Think they'll serve Generic Beer at the reunion?

Remember our excursions to Amenia? Getting stopped on the way back at Cornwall Bridge and smoking cigars to mask the booze odor.
