Pat Temple Beck Hanken

Worked for RPI for a few years and married Barry Beck from Rochester who was a student at RPI. After graduation for him, moved to Houston where we were for 5 years. Moved to and lived in Puerto Rico for 4-5 years. Moved to Atlanta and then to Americus, Georgia. Divorced in 70's. Remarried a local guy who died in 1999. Reconnected with Richard Hanken and we married. I retired after 24 years at D.A. office and moved to Colorado for 1-1/2 years then Richard also retired and we relocated back here in Americus. Busy in 2008 getting a new D.A. elected. 2009 busy planning and actually doing the food for Hans' and Ange's wedding (they kind of did things backwards). 2010 we're back in the business of finishing up rennovations on kitchen and are gathering info in prep for that. In between we get to NC frequently. Maybe after kitchen is complete we'll get to all that traveling we wanted to do in retirement. Kitchen finished and we're headed to Long Island to see Elisa and then up to Troy for family visit. On way back we'll spend some time in NC with Hans, Ange and Sophia.

March 26, 2015 Richard passed away. I have a big hole in my heart. Almost 7 months later I am still trying to figure out how to live without him:(

Never thought I'd leave Americus, Georgia, but here I am in Hendersonville, NC and loving it. The weather is great - even get some snow once in a while and the summers aren't blistering hot. The town is well kept and always has flowers growing in the center of town and baskets handing from lamp posts. Moved here in Sep. 2018.

Graduated in 1997 from Georgia Southwestern State Univ. with degrees in English and Geology. School was a whole lot more fun as an adult and I took it a lot more seriously. Seems like the good times I remember from Troy High were the times when a bunch of us would cut school.
