In Memory

Jamie Davidson (Taylor)

Jamie Davidson (Taylor)

From Lisa Monteverde:

My beautiful, kind, dear friend of 50 + years, Jamie, has died. Her husband, Guy, said it was ok for me to pass this sad news on to our classmates. He is devastated of course. They were such a devoted couple. She went in for repeat back surgery. She had tumbled down some stairs and broke her back about a decade ago. She was in pain for a long time although the surgery helped some. This was to do further repairs. "The operation went well. They had to remove and replace old hardware, but only needed to add 2 more vertebrae to the fusion." Guy posted that on August 12.  "Yay! Jamie out of surgery in recovery!!! All Well. Still wearing wedding ring!"

Jamie then passed away around 6 PM on Saturday of a cerebral hemorrhage that occurred in recovery."

This is of COURSE Guy. NOT Jamie (I so so wish it were her and this was not a memorial page for her)

Thank you for taking a moment to share something. I appreciate this so much.  She was perfect every day and I didnt tell her that near enought. She was my life. Oh Babe, I miss you so!

I remember her beautiful singing, and her stories about getting a draft notice as a male.

Hearing this broke my heart. Jamie and I were good friends in elementry and jr. high. Her mom was even my teacher one year. She was always a wonderful person and pleasent to be around. This is such sad news. - Armand

It saddens me to hear of another classmate passsing away.  It is so amazing so many of us go back to elementary school or middle school.   Jamie was a caring and very smart person.

I have one funny story to share well it is funny now. Jamie and I took chemistry class together and one day we were working as lab pertners when we smelled hair burning, we both looked around and realized Jamie's long curly hair was smoking, which we quickly put out.

Guy, our prayers to you and tthe family.  Jamie is now in heavan  looking at us and saying it will be ok. Rest in Peace.

Rich and Sandy

So sad to hear the news. Just last November, at the Sunday reunion picnic at Barb Bradley’s, I got to talk to her about memories from Townsend Jr. High before Magee was complete and PV. I too had her mom, Lucille Davidson for English. This was so unexpected and my heart goes out to Guy. I have a couple of pics of her from the picnic I can share if any are interested. Wished I had more. Our utmost condolences...

Jamie and I had a lot of fun over the years. I remember the time in Honors English when we got caught passing notes. (No doubt some very important teenage girl information that couldn't wait.) The teacher, (Mrs. Breinig?) of course demanded the note and got so mad when she couldn't read it and insisted we tell her what language it was in and translate, which we refused. It was written in Tolkien. Good times...miss you my friend for all the times, good and bad.

So terribly sorry to hear about Jamie's death! I could always remember her, her smile and her positive personality from my AFS year at Palo Verde. A lovely friend - and we met again at the Reunion last November and talked, and talked. Such a warm and talented woman! My sincere condolences to Guy, all I can say she will live on in our memories of her. With all my love from Austria, Angie

Jamie and I met in the 5th Grade.  She was smart, musically talented, and easy to talk to.  I remember talking with her during every reunion except the 50th.  I saw her but never had a chance to talk with her.  I wish I had taken the time to make sure we spoke.

Rest in Peace, Jamie.

Jamie was always one of my favorite persons since we grew up in the same neighborhood Indian Ridge.  Aside from being so smart she was extremely witty and had a great sense of humor.  During the last 2 reunions, I spent a lot of time talking to her and reminiscing about old times.

At our last reunion 2019, she told me about her back issues and that she needed a major lumbar fusion. I gave her the contact information of an excellent neurosurgeon that I know well in San Diego, not sure what happened there.  Anyway, I am very saddened to hear of her passing:(.
