David Pence
1952-1975 (23)
David Pence was born in 1952 in Tucson to Stephen T and Miriam E Pence, and died in Tucson in 1975. At the time of his death he had been active in the Tucson music community, having played many times over several years in his band, Tont, at the Cushing Street Bar and Restaurant, located in the historic barrio section of Tucson. David transferred to Catalina High School in his senior year and graduated in 1970. He was predeceased by his parents in 1967 and 1974, and his brother Stephen L Pence in 1971. He was survived by two sisters, Catherine Pence Pratt of Tucson and Stephanie Pence White of Oklahoma. David is interred next to his parents at Eastlawn Cemetery in Tucson.

I knew David when we were seniors at Catalina High. We dated for about two months and I thought he was the "bees knees", cute, with a nice personality. We enjoyed his VW. He used to pick me up (after my afternoon shift as a "bus girl" at a restaurant up in the foothills) and drive me home. We also went camping in Sabino Canyon. I miss you David.
