Teira (Terri) Marcia Lindgren-O’Callahan

Teira (Terri) Marcia Lindgren was born June 8, 1952 in Duluth, Minnesota to Ernest and Taimi Lindgren.  Her family moved to Tucson, Arizona when Terri was young, and she graduated from Catalina High School there in 1970.  In the 1980’s Terri moved to California, living in Goleta and Garden Grove, and earned an MFCC and PhD in Psychology.  In the 1990s she offered bilingual counseling and free parenting classes focusing on communication, problem solving, setting limits, suicide prevention and developing self-esteem. Many people, including parents and children, benefitted from Terri’s skills and compassion.  As an adult she went by Teira and married Jerry O’Callahan.  They lived in Solvang during her later years.  Teira dealt with chronic illness for many years, and she maintained an amazing sense of humor until her death on May 3, 2005.  She is survived by her husband, Jerry, of Solvang, and a sister, Becky Rupp.
