Ruth Ivy Buckingham (Dodge)

Ruth was born in Elmhurst, New York, on March 10, 1952, the daughter of William A. and Eva (Robb) Buckingham.  She grew up in Tucson, Ariz., and graduated from Catalina High School in 1970.  Ruth had been a resident of the North Sandwich, NH area since the early 1970s.  She worked at Annalee Dolls for several years and as a waitress at former Longwood Farm Restaurant in Center Harbor. She also worked at the former Amatex Mill, in Meredith, as a machine operator.  Ruth was well known for her home bakery business and did many demonstrations on bread baking to many of the local church and civic groups. She was a life member of the Sandwich Players and served as house manager for most all of the productions.  Survivors include her husband of 27 years, William G. Dodge of North Sandwich; a daughter, Megan Dodge of North Sandwich; a brother, John Robb of Troy, NY, and two nephews.

Ruth, I met you in grade school at John B Wright.  I so enjoyed our friendship.  RIP, friend.
