Sylvia Marie Daniels (Montes)

Born in Hornell, NY and passed away into the arms of our Lord on July 13, 2012.  Sylvia is survived by her husband, Fred, of 30 years; their daughter, Yvonne Montes and sons, Antonio-Javier and Greg (Gina); as well as her brothers, Angelo (Barbara), Michael (Janet, deceased) and Phillip; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her oldest brother, Thomas Daniels.  Sylvia was raised along with her four brothers by her devoted and loving father, Sylvester Anthony Daniels, a World War II Marine Corps veteran.  She graduated from Catalina High School in 1970 and continued her education at Pima Community College.  After graduating with an Associate's Degree, Sylvia enjoyed a long careet at IBM and retired in 2006.  She loved to travel, cook and host holiday gatherings.  Sylvia was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend who will be missed by many.  A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00am on Friday, July 20, 2012 at St Francis Cabrini Church,  3201 E Presidio Rd with a gathering to follow in the church hall.  A special thank you goes to Doctors Alton and Jennifer Hallum for their dedication and support, and to the kind nurses and staff at Arizona Oncology and Casa de la Luz Hospice.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Tucson Human Society.  Condolences can be made at www.angelvalleyfuneralhome.com .  (520) 327-6341.
