Jeffrey Hodson Norris
1952 - April 8, 1974
Police detectives were without a suspect or a motive yesterday in the fatal shooting of Jeffrey Norris, 23, Tuesday evening, said Sgt. Larry Bunting, head of the homicide detail.
Norris died at 11:35pm at Arizona Medical Center, about an hour after he was admitted with multiple gunshot wounds. An autopsy has revealed that he was shot four or five times, according to County Pathologist Dr. Louis Hirsch.
Funeral services are scheduled for 12:30pm Saturday at Adair Funeral Home, 1050 N. Doge Blvd, with burial at South Lawn Cemetery. Norris was apparently shot after a struggle in a front room of his house, police said. A neighbor said she saw a man run from the house who looked like he was holding something over his head. About 20 minutes later Norris staggered to her front door, she said.
Norris graduated in 1970 from Catalina High School. He is survived by a brother, John, of Phoenix, and a sister, Jacqueline, of Colorado.

Jeff, I was just getting to know you when I was home from NAU. We didn't go out, but you came over a few times, and you were kind and seemed to have it together. I miss who you could have been. RIP, Jeff.
