Dear Classmates:
Tulia High School Class of 1971 50TH CLASS REUNION: So, folks have been asking so wanted to put out a preliminary post. Becky, Diana, Karen and I have the reunion on our radar. We think there will be enough interest to go ahead and have the reunion. We figure enough of us have been vaccinated and/or have had COVID that we will be okay. Everyone can use your own judgment as to whether you want to attend, but, Hey! It’s our 50TH!!!!
Becky did reserve a room for us so we are good there. Becky and Diana have been dealing with family deaths so I’m just going to jump in and get things rolling. 1) Picnic is July 17th. 58 of us are in this Facebook group, Tulia High School - Class of 1971, but if you know of a classmate that is not, please reach out to them and invite them to join. I will also be sending out stuff on Class Creator, but don’t know how current people have kept that. So, everyone needs to help get the word out. 2) We usually have a trailer in the parade. I have the signs, but I need someone to jump in and offer a trailer. Garry Wilfong has done this in the past, but all offers are welcome. 3) If we want to do a meal in the evening, I need someone to work on getting a caterer or throw out some other idea for food. 4) We usually take a class photo so someone can jump in and line that up for us. 5) Go to Class Creator and update your profile so we can see where you are an what you’ve been up to. The big task is to get the word out to all our classmates.
I’m confident I will receive a deluge of offers to help, so let me know who wants to do what and I can let everyone know so we don’t double up! LET’S DO THIS!
