Here's one for ya - Some Kind of Wonderful...I watched that last night, I just love that movie!!!!

Stephanie - Loved that movie! Mary Stuart Masterson. Just saw her tonight in Fried Green Tomatoes! Mary Louise Parker(from Weeds) was in that one too. I thought of Big with Tom Hanks, too, for reliving childhood. "OK, but I get to be on top!" So sweet and innocent.

I watched that movie last night and I watched Fried Green Tomatoe tonight! How funny is that! Let me see what I can find and try to post them tomorrow.

Ok...found a funny clip from St. Elmo's Fire, Wierd Science, and Some Kind of Wonderful. Hard to find the embedable clips so if you find some send me the embed link and I will post them. Enjoy! and have a great night all! Off to bed here!

And maybe I'm just partial, but I think 80's movies are the best ever! St Elmo's Fire was definitely one of my favorites as well!

I could sit all day on a Sat. and watch all those movies.
Woo I also love Pretty in Pink...

Goonies...I loved Goonies. That was a bit younger, but still a great movie.

Maybe we should bag the reunion idea, have a big slumber party and watch movies all night... ;)

Great Idea, Sue! If we were all young and had no responsibilities, the ultimate would be a week's vacation at the beach or skiing. Play all day, and stay up late watching movies together in a big lodge/cabin! Maybe that's something smaller groups could plan for whoever could make it. Mini reunions once a year, big ones every ten.

HeJin...I'm game!!!! I am trying to think of something crazy to do for my 40 (I got my belly button pierced for the 30). and I will be here in CO so we could play a trip up to the mountains here for that!

I will be looking for the Goonies and Pretty in Pink after I get home from the gym tonight and hopefully will be able to add them to the movies page. I know they are the whole movie but I do try to find the best clips that are avaiable. I just wish I could search while I am at work. (since I am not doing anything anyways!)

At first it was wishful thinking, but a mini-vaca, maybe a long weekend, isn't out of the realm of possiblities. :)

Tracey and I have done several girl's only vacations. It is absolutely the best. I love the hubby, but there is just something about getting away with your girlfriends that energizes you.

Kristi Donaghue (Frank)

That would be so awesome. Its nice to be able to get away with the girls. To have your own time and not have kids or your husband asking you where things are or when is dinner ready :)

I do live about 45 mins from spa city in Hot Springs...The company I work for has a 3 bedroom apartment that we can use. We just have to pay a $50 deposit. I know that won't hold many people, but it's a thought to ponder! I suggested this awhile back to some of the girls, but nothing ever came of it. I'll turn 40 in 2011 and I'm getting a tattoo. I would like to take a trip also, just have to figure out where!

My 40 is March 21, 2011...so who comes first!?

I was supposed to get my tat when hubby deployed this time but because of a few issues it doesn't look like a deployment is our future. DAMN! I can't do it when he is around - he has flat out said NO on a tat! He hasn't figured out that when he says I can't - I do! LOL

With all the talk of the movies of our time, I thought I would see what tv shows were on, too. OH MY. Take a look at classic-tv.com. Cagney and Lacey, Macgyver, Family Ties, of course Cosby.

Tj,

I have a few photos from senior spring break at Padre Island. I'm sure I have a number of other photos in box around here some were. I will scan them in and send them over if you want to add them to the site.

Also, if there is any work I could help with from MN let me know.

Vance, You can send the pictures to me at ec_classof1989@yahoo.com and I will post them up. And thanks for the offer of help! I know that we are more than willing to accept all the help we can get and I truly appreciate everyone who is helping (either with ideas to make the reunion great or helping on the committee.)

I forgot about a couple of movies Footloose and Dirty Dancing. Remember those?

Wow Stephanie, that is a great deal/idea for a long weekend! Spa time, cheap digs, and not far from Tulsa. Hmmmm, I'm thinking this sounds like a plan.

Maybe plan a reunion committee meeting in Arkansas sometime in the future??? :)

Tj Kirste (Wolski)

OMG!!! Footloose!!! I can remember Britton and I going on my b-day to the Plaza 3 movie theater to see this!!! And being totally in love with Kevin Bacon.

Another good one was The Outsiders! I totally loved that movie and just recently watched it again on tv.

Man...these are bringing back some awesome memories!

I'm game for a reunion committee meeting in Hot Springs! I loved going there when I lived in AR. We can plan a meeting next May there...since I have to go back to AR to see all my daughters friends graduate from HS.

Sounds good to me. TJ funny you mention the Outsiders.
Taylor had to watch and read that in his Reading class.
How funny :)

My kids just don't get the movie or the book. Go figure! It was one of my all time favorite books...and that is saying a lot because I HATE to read!!!

Vance,

I may have some of the same pictures. Be nice to me when you are sending those in :) I remember you were our fearless driver!
