Wendy Phelps (Maxey)

Sue: I am a little disappointed. I was actually on her at work today and looking for the Friday funny. What happened?

Thanks Wendy! I have to say that it is the hardest thing I have done but I am so glad I did it!!!

LOL, sorry Wendy, I took Friday off to make Christmas Candy. It's a tradition that Tracey and I have. It takes us the whole day to do it, from around 9 that morning to almost 10 that night. We made 6 different kinds, probably about 250-300 of each, plus chocolate popcorn. It is insanity! I'll have to find something extra special to post this week to make up for it. Glad the boys are doing well, and yes, unfortunately, that age thing effects us whether we choose to acknowledge it or not! (which I usually do NOT)

Hejin, I just went to the salon, so NO GRAY for me, at least this week. The extra pounds though, I wish I could leave them somewhere...

OK, I tried to post a mid-week funny, but for some reason it wouldn't let me post the html tag. So I'm posting the link for now, and I'll work on figuring out how to get the html back up here.

My eyes are puffy and I have a ton of work to do, but I am looking forward to tomorrow night. So I also hope that most of you that said you could come can still make it.

My first vote would be the weekend of Jan 16th, maybe that Friday night, or sometime on that Saturday. My 2nd vote would be the 30th or 31st.

I'm game for the 16th of Jan for our next meeting. I will send out an email to the class after we figure out where we want to hold it. Oh...I posted my graduation picture that I got taken today. too funny!!!

Oh and one last thing...I have the pictures that were taken at the 10 year reunion from Brenda. Since I pretty much have nothing to do with my life now I will start scanning then and adding them onto the site. Not so much this week but I will do it next week.

I still plan on being, provided my daughter gets a ride to church.

Meeting: The 9th is definitely out for me. That is my daughters birthday weekend and I will have a house full of teenage girls. But then again, you guys could all meet at my house that night and that way I won't be pulling my hair out. The 16th would be best for me, but I can't do the 17th. I haven't checked any dates after that.

Sue Young (Myers)

The 16th is sounding like the best date for the next meeting. Can everyone do a Friday night thing? I know Wendy said she can do Friday, but not Saturday, so please chime in if Friday works. We could meet after work and do a dinner/drinks/planning kind of meeting.

Sounds good to me.

I don't think I have posted this one yet; I find it appropriate for the weather around here lately...

Have a great weekend and holiday everyone!

Just wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. I'm really happy that we have been able to reconnect with each other and I really looking forward to our reunion this upcoming year! I hope that if you are traveling this holiday season that you all get to your destination safe and sound!

Merry Christmas, All!

Mikki Toney (Crawford)

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and everyone have a SAFE and HAPPY NEW YEAR. My myspace and facebook are spammed, have no idea what happened on them so if anything was sent to anyone out of the ordinary I apologize it wasn't me. Both profiles have been cancelled and until I can get better protection on my computer I am not using it much. Hope everyone is doing great.

I'm afraid I'm turning into this girl with MY new pup... :)

And here's one for the New Year... Hope everyone had a good holiday. Not looking forward to getting back into the routine of a full work week next week!

Howdy all. Well we have our next meeting set up. HeJin has offered her home as the location. Email her for directions. I will actually be making it to this one but it might be the last that I am able to physically be there for since hopefully I will have a job after next week. (Keep your fingers crossed!) I have uploaded an agenda for the meeting on the reunion page. This is just a guide...but hopefully we will be able to get a lot of work done.

AWESOME ode to Happy Hour Friday!! (It could be I have a warped sense of humor, but cracked me up!)
As a warning to some, so I don't offend anyone, this one is rated MA for mature audiences, due to some language.

So has anyone made decisions about when the reunion will be? Or how long it might be?

01/15/09 10:37 AM #406

Sue Young (Myers)

I don't think anything is set in stone at this point. The past 2 classes have done theirs in the fall, coinciding with a home football game. That is one possibility being discussed. That would allow for Friday night tailgating at the game, a family affair. And for those interested, we could schedule a tour of the school that night also, for nostalgia. :) Then maybe something informal on Saturday during the day, also a family thing. Saturday night just for the adults, several places being considered. Nothing for Sunday, unless people just decide to put something together on their own before everyone winds down for the weekend. But nothing finalized, or even close to it right now.

I have a lot of commitments that have come up recently and just don't feel I have the time to devote to planning something of this magnitude and make sure that it turns out to be what everyone would enjoy. The reunion committee really needs more volunteers to come forward and help take a more leadership role in getting this reunion planned. I myself need to take a step back, and we really could use more help in getting things done. I have started gathering information for a Saturday night event at Cherokee Casino, and will go ahead and put together a package with details, contacts, etc, but then I really need to spend some time on other things in my life. Please let us know if you have some time to devote to helping pull this together. Thanks.

I'll help!

03/10/09 09:21 AM #409

Sue Young (Myers)

Thanks Katrina!

I wanted to update that we have made some more progress. HeJin is setting up a meeting with the casino people to tour the facilities and nail down a date. We should have that info very soon, as well as ticket prices. Those of us who have been participating in the planning have been mostly concentrating on the Saturday night event, and a little for Friday night. If people are interested in doing something "family style" on Saturday afternoon, someone will need to take charge of that, even if it is to pick a place, make a few calls, and send out some sort of announcement. I'm thinking it doesn't have to be that structured, maybe more of a "hey, let's all meet here" kind of thing.

More to come soon...

Just thinking of some family ideas for the Sat afternoon...thought of the Tulsa Zoo, may not be exciting for the locals, but our kids never tire of any zoo. And then there is the OK Aquarium, more costly to get in but well worth it and they do have large meeting rooms to converge or have boxed lunches.

Sorry, off main subject but I thought this deserved a place here.

The above is a link to the Tulsa World article from today (03/12/09) that covers the hearing of the woman who stole Shannon Lacey away from us. May she rot in jail and burn in hell.

Enough said.
