Ronald Singleterry

I voted at 6 AM here in Saint Louis.

There was a line that ran out of the polling place, and it took me almost TWO hours.

Any predictions/projections?

Not that I know anything about politics, but here are mine:

Popular vote: Obama +9 (54-45-1)
Electoral College: Obama 390, McCain 148

(((Obama will win the Popular Vote with a margin of, at least, 6.1 Percentage.)))

SENATE
57 Democrats, 40 Republicans, 2 Independents, 1 runoff

AK: Begich (D) by 15
CO: Udall (D) by 14
GA: Chambliss (R) by 1, but runoff
KY: McConnell (R) by 3 (please, please, please be wrong!)
ME: Collins (R) by 12
MN: Franken (D) by 4
MS-B: Wicker (R) by 4
NH: Shaheen (D) by 10
NM: Udall (D) by 19
NC: Hagan (D) by 4
OR: Merkley (D) by 10
VA: Warner (D) by 22

HOUSE
Democrats 268, Republicans 167

Great pictures of the reunion!

Happy birthday, Amy!

Rayanne Griffin (Tobey)

Scott and I voted at noon. His office is a polling place and he said there have been huge lines. Our polling place had no line but it was right before the lunch rush. Ainsley voted with us. She got to put the ballots in the box and felt really important. She told the poll workers she was voting for our city and her USA. It was cute.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY. LOVE the costume. I think I can't figure out how to make that survey voting thing work right. Kelly D can you help? I thought about adding a pumpkin contest as well? We were not allowed to carve this year (Ainsley thought her pumpkin wanted to keep his skin). Go figure.

Rayanne Griffin (Tobey)

Okay figured out the voting thing now. Post here if you updated a halloween costume, I am going to add them to the survey page if I can figure out how. Added a category for best pumpkin as well so post pictures of your pumpkins. While everyone is in the voting spirit we might as well vote for people we actually know and like! Not just those we hope do a decent job of running things until a better choice comes along. (Oops, did I say that, voting for the least of all evils? Not exactly party politics but where I am at these days.)

Thank you for the Birthday wishes. It hasn't been the best birthday. I found out that the building I rent has a contract to be sold and I my have to move my shop by next June :(

Ron McClanahan

Well hello there everyone hope all is well where ever this message finds you. I see that were all back to the grind that we call life since there is a steep decrease in posts here at the site. Hopefully we are at least speaking via e-mails or chat windows since it would be ashamed to loose track of people that we have reconnected with. I for one will be up for a get together soon with some of you since I am finally getting over my walking pneumonia what fun that has been no wonder I didn't feel so chipper at the reunion. Oh well I still enjoyed it and I'm so glad that so many people came.

Everybody keep on saying a little prayer for Lori's dad because he needs it.

Ronnie how did I know that you would show up on election day? Its about time you posted something where were you at the reunion? There was a few of you "no shows" that I wish would have shown up.

Hopefully everyone exercised their right to vote today since there are people that are down trodden through out the world that do not have that luxury. We are truly blessed to live in such a great country.

Happy Birthday Amy! Sorry that you had such a stinky day. I hope that the rest of your day was good.

Rayanne~That is soooo cute! She was doing her part for her country!!! I love it....I wish she was with me~it would have been waaaay more fun. It was great to see so many people there tho. Wow!

Kelly Dickey (Culpepper)

Amy: I'm so sorry I missed you're birthday yesterday. No wonder you were on my mind!

Donna: I pray every night for your son and Amy's Mike.

I posted pictures of CeCe and I on Halloween. She was an
angel and I was a devil.

Our class Historian, Nicole, sent me a ton of pictures and newspaper articles. I'll forward them to you soon, Rayanne.

I've been really praying for everyone mentioned on here and for Nicole's and my friend, Bill. We've been friends with him since college. The doctors are talking about giving up on treating his cancer.

I really hope things improve for everyone soon. I don't know if I can take much more bad news.

11/05/08 03:36 PM #1688

Rayanne Griffin (Tobey)

Wow, prayers to everyone for all they are going through. Keep up the Prayers also for our country on the cusp of such historic changes.

On a reminder note: I have several unclaimed and unsold sweatshirts and t-shirts: I am selling them first come first served:

Hooded Sweatshirts: 1 XXL, 1 Large, 1 Medium
Sweatshirts (no hood): 1 XXL, 4 XL, 2 Large, 2 Medium
T-shirts: 1 XXXL, 5 XXL, 3 XL, 1 Medium, 1 Small

Email me if you are interested. I really don't need them as a fixture in my living room for the Holidays. Plus the money will assist us in future gatherings of the class (i.e. seed money for the next reunion).

Rayanne

11/05/08 04:38 PM #1689

Kelly Dickey (Culpepper)

But Rayanne, you could make scarecrows out of them as Thanksgiving decorations! After the holidays you could put them in your car to make it look like you're carpooling. You could also make a blankets out of them for Tinny Tim and his orphan friends.

Sorry I just have to laugh to keep from crying.

Rayanne Griffin (Tobey)

Numbers above revised, inventory dwindling. Yea! Ainsley is wondering why all the blue shirts got left at our house - I think she thinks you guys left them there.

11/06/08 01:24 PM #1691

Cherri Stanfield (Johnson)

Please pray for us as we were notified yesterday that we will probably be moving in 2009. We will either be relocated to Bartlesville or Houston, along with 700 other Ponca City Employees. The only employees that will remain in Ponca are those that work at the refinery. Not real sure what to think about this one...

Lori-how is your dad?

Kelly-praying for you and your friend too

11/06/08 03:51 PM #1692

Rayanne Griffin (Tobey)

Cherri - we'll be praying for B-ville for you guys. At least you'd be closer to us. If you go to Houston at least Pam is there to keep you company.

Lori Cameron (Prim)

Cherri - Dad is the same. He is still on the respirator. It's been a full week now. There was a problem with his feeding tube today. Somehow what's going in his feeding tube is coming out his chest drain tube so they stopped the feeding tube. And he still doesn't have any movement from the waist down. He is frustrated about not being able to communicate. Please continue to keep him in your prayers.

I hope that end up where you want to be. Isn't Chicago an option for you guys?

11/06/08 11:19 PM #1694

Cherri Stanfield (Johnson)

We would so move to Chicago waaayyy before Houston! We are really nervous about the Houston thing, it's tough.

11/07/08 09:23 PM #1695

Kelly Dickey (Culpepper)

Thanks for the prayers Cherri and anyone else. Bill passed away this evening at the hospital. Nicole just called and told me. He was only 37 and one of the sweetest guys you could ever know.

11/07/08 10:00 PM #1696

Melissa Houser (Bly)

Sorry to hear about all the bad news lately. I will pray for all.
By the amazing number shown on tuesday night it looks like everyone took part in voting, that is awesome.

I want to let everyone know that I enjoyed visiting with each of you the other night. Thanks again for those who worked so hard to put it together. Wonderful job!!!!

Newest news I have, my daughter Megan, has made the All State Team in softball. This is a great acomplishment. I am also very proud to say that she has been offered a full ride scholarship to Carl Albert State College, and has a few other colleges looking at her right now. I will keep you updated with what she decides to do.

11/07/08 10:28 PM #1697

Kelly Dickey (Culpepper)

Melissa: That is so wonderful! Thanks for sharing the good news.

11/09/08 10:26 AM #1698

Jennifer Wakefield (Moreno)

Kelly -

I'm sorry for your loss.
37 is far too young.

11/09/08 09:06 PM #1699

Lori Cameron (Prim)

An update for you. There still isn't any change with dad. Still in the ICU. He still in on the respirator. He also hasn't had any responses with his legs. They keep exercising his lungs to strenghten them enough to have him breathe on his own. Please continue to keep him in your prayers. And pray for his spirits too.

Kelly - Nice new pic. And I enjoyed the caption too!

11/10/08 01:19 PM #1700

Lori Cameron (Prim)

Good Morning all. No updates. Just wanted to take a minute and check out the forum. There's not a whole lot going on. Where is everyone?? I'm sure there are plenty of lurkers out there.

I think we need to get some conversation going here.

What has everyone been up to?? What's the price of gas everywhere? It's $ 2.46 here. Still not great, but better that over $4.00.

Does anyone have any really great ideas for Thanksgiving?? Special table arrangements?? Great family recipes?? Traditions??? Anything?? Does anyone have a great recipe for homemade cranberry sauce?

If anyone else has conversation ideas, chime in. How about you, Tommy?? or Ronnie? How did your lecture go? And Timber, we missed you at the reunion. Or Brett, How's that baby girl doing? Rayanne, Jacci, and Stacy and everyone else that helped, now that you've survived the reunion, what ever are you doing with your free time?? LOL!

I challenge everyone. How many posts can we put up in the next 24 hours???

On your mark, GET SET, GO!

11/10/08 01:27 PM #1701

Rayanne Griffin (Tobey)

Okay Lori - I am helping you ought. Since the reunion I have returned to work - partner and clients are all immensely happy as Oct I was slacking I must say.

I have a great yeast roll recipe from my mom that Scott insists she make every year. We do Turkey and Stove-top (although someone brings homeade stuffing Scott likes the box). We could poll box versus homeade stuffing?

I found what appears to be a great cranberry recipe in southern living but have yet to try it out. I'll send it along. Ainsley had an ear infection but is better now.

It's raining here today and I filled up after chuch at 1.77 a gallon! Woo Hoo. Gotta love that.

I have been "Spring cleaning at the house" attempting to finally get through all the boxes and get everything organized. Basement is next = Ugh. 900 sqare feet of clutter and dust right now. Thankfully most of the boxes there are Christmas decorations.

We are having combined family (scott & mine) thanksgiving at our house - ought to be interesting and likely comical. I'll have to post hidden cameras and maybe do a video internet feed. I'll let you guys know if that happens.

I still have a box of blue shirts in my living room. Hopefully someone will need one for a christmas present!!!! Hint, Hint.
