Love Peace and Aloha, Mike.  I remember your smile, your laugh, your humor.  And I remember my smile when I saw you, talked to you.  You kept me smiling.  Godspeed, Mike.

James Teel, from Jerry Akers.  I like your comment, reading it was very good.  Yes, Jerry did look mean across the line, and truth is, he was mean, not just to the guy across the line, but to me too on occasions, and hurtful.  With that said, it's all OK, it's good, it's all good.  I haven't been perfect, either.  Jerry and I became very close during those football years, friends.  Take care, Teel, and Happy 2021.

Love you mucho, Jerry.  Will never forget you.  Cannot forget you.  Right and left tackles, seasons 1962-63, John Tyler Lions.  We shared mucho time together.  Godspeed, my friend.  Akers.

Dear Pat -- It was a party just being near you.  I will remember.  One of a kind, and a very good kind it was.  Take care in your new journey.  And Godspeed.

Wow, Wayne!  You've gone.  What great memories I have of a Great Guy back in The Sixties at good old John Tyler High School.  Your presence on this Earth was a Blessing.  You will be missed.  Fare Thee well, Friend, and have a speedy and safe journey.  See you again someday in The Wild Blue Yonder.  Akers.

That's me on MLK Monday January 2010 after a 3-mile hike to Kaena Point, NW corner of Oahu, a nature preserve for, among other things, monk seals, black-footed abatross, and green sea turtles, about 10 miles NW of Makaha where I am now living "at the end of the road at the edge of the world" (ha! almost but not quite true!) where the accommodations "ain't exactly deluxe".
==============
Postscript: I no longer live in Makaha; I'm back in Texas, as of October 2010: "... the best laid schemes of mice and men ...", and such as that.
