Carole Ann & I were friends for over 50 yrs. - thru all the good & sad times. We learned to dance by watching Dick Clark's 'American Bandstand'. She was a sweet, loving, easy-going lady. My husband & I went to the hospital to visit with her & she was awfully frail. We went back a couple of days later & God had taken her during the night. She was wanting to meet her new granddaughter, but God had other plans. I still miss visiting with her.
Carole and I met in the 7th grade at Moore Middle School. We always laughed, talked and generally had a good time together. I had many a noon meals with her and Ms. Frizzell (red beans and rice). I miss her family, too. Betty Sue, Carole Ann and I went to the Ft. Worth Zoo and on the way back, we were hit by a drunk driver. Thank goodness we were all fine except their car! We rode many miles up and down B'Way and both Derrick's. I missed her when she married Eddie and they moved with the Navy. I was happy when they returned. We were pregnant at the same time, she delivered twins somewhat early. Later on, I had Scott. Our kids were another common bond. Carole Ann was one of the most patient, kind and sweet people I have ever known. She did not judge others and always made friends feel comfortable.
