Danny and I grew up together. We were born a week apart and had joint birthday parties as little kids. He was a great friend. We worked together as attorneys several times. I spoke with him recently and know he planned to attend the reunion. Very sad. Will have many pleasant memories of our time together. My condolences to Glenda and all of Danny's family. Gerry Urbach
I first knew Danny when I was in the 3rd grade and we moved next door to Jeff, Mutt, Poo and Beth Heller on West Connally Street. Paul and Bobby Hable and Howard, Danny and Ralph Kirshbaum and their younger sister lived on the same block. Dickie, Stephen, Janet and Dottie Brown lived a block south on Noonday Road. Tommy and Wendy Bellhouse and Pat Torrance lived one block to the north. All of these kids were wonderful friends to have. Until today, I hadn't known Danny was ill and his death is a profound shock. My condolances to his brothers and sister and his many friends.
I, too, grew up with Danny. He and his family lived on Rusk Street, one block behind my street, Connally. I loved him and his family. He was the first boy who ever kissed me on the way home from Gary Elementary in the first grade. His brother, Ralph, and I made brownies at my house many times after school during our elementary years. (and ate most of them ourselves!). Their family members were all excellent musicians. We had so much fun growing up in that neighborhood, and I am so sad to hear about his death. I am praying for Glenda and all of his family at this time of sorrow.
I went to Hogg and was on the Student Council with Danny. I have the highest respect for Danny and want to give my deepest condolences to his family and friends. He had and has many friends in our class and we all will miss him. Danny Rest In Pease you will be missed but not forgotten. Tommy A
After high school Danny and I had not seen each other for many years however several years ago we ran into each other in Houston and revisited on several occasions. Danny was a friendly approachable solid guy and it was wonderful to reconnect and have these recent memories as well as those of the past. Our heart goes out to Glenda and to the rest of Danny's family. He will be missed.
I have very fond memories of Danny Kirshbaum. As we grew up, I always appreciated his family's musical talents and father's work as Conductor of the Tyler Symphony. It was always a pleasure to see him.
Jack Sowers mentioned that they were roommates at the A-Bar Hotel and I can remember visiting them there on one of my trips to Austin during college.
Over the years, Danny and I did some business together in Houston. Yesterday, before I returned to Houston, I received a phone call from Marshall Clinkscales wanting to know if I knew of his passing. He had many friends and will be missed but his good qualities will never be forgotten.
I send my best wishes to Glenda, who was a friend of my sister Gay.
Our mortal lives pass very quickly, but as St. Paul said, "It is the Spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." John 6:63
While Danny and I were friendly growing up in Tyler, our closeness came as adults. I enjoyed picking his mind as we discussed various legal issues in cases we were both handling. He often challenged me to consider issues that I had not thought about. Through the years Danny, Glenda Nez and I shared happy times together in Tyler and Houston. I will miss those times and Danny. Rest In Peace dear friend. I will miss you.
I was sorry to hear about Daniel's passing. Most definitely , Daniel was born into an amazing and talented family. Daniel performed on the violin with his family when his father, Joseph Kirshbaum, served as his conductor of the East Texas Symphony ! Dan's mother, Gertrude, perrformed on the harp, his brother , Howard , also performed on the violin and also studied law. Daniel's brother, Ralph played the cello. I understand that Ralph once received further instruction from Pablo Casas, the internationally known cellist
and was a native of Catalan Spain,
Dan's sister, Shirley, works in New York, as a talent agent for musicians.!!
Daniel will always be remembered as a member of a family who made their mark in the world of music
besides the fact that Daniel ,as an attorney, utilized a crusading spirit in the cause of social
action.
I would like to express my sincere condolences to Dan's wife, Glenda, two sons and daughter!
