I was informed early this morning that Jack Neill my longtime friend passed away.  Jack will be missed by a number of people of our class as well as the class of ‘60 and ‘62.  Jack will be remembered for his kindness, the contributions to REL Athletics and as a loyal friend. RIP Jack, you will not be forgotten.  Tommy

I was very blessed to have known Jack.  He was a very positive person and a pleasure to be around.

He will be missed by all who knew him.

So sorry to hear this news about Jack. When my daughter and Jack's son were at Lindale HIgh School at the same time and Jack's son played football, Jack would call my name on the PA system prior to the football game to come to the sideline and run the chains with him. I know he wanted to be on the sidelines so he could coach his son. It was great fun being around Jack, one of the good guys. RIP Jack Neill.  Prayers for Jack's family.

I first knew Jack Neill at Moore Jr. High School and enjoyed 6th period PE with him from then trhough our senior yrar at REL. According to Coach Amberg, Jack, Brother and I spent way too much time bullshitting in the dressing room after track workouts in the spring of 1961. What I didn't know then and only learned years later was that one of Oz's and Rose's daughters had an operation to remove a brain tumour that spring and Amberg was anxious to get us out of the dressing room so he could go home to his family. Jack was a skilled and dedicated young athlete and a straightforward friend with an easy sense of humour.. As an old man, I enjoy thinking about our mostly silly conversations and I miss Jack.

I played basketball with Jack our junior and senior years. Always a hard working, positive presence on the team.  He, and Charlie Bridges, were probably the best all around athletes in our class.  Did not know him well after graduation, but respected his work ethic and valued him as a teammate,  Kind of guy you would always want on your team.

Jack was a true friend you could always count on as a loyal friend, a great football team member and track member and I will always remember him as a great person.
