Services for Bobbie Cooper, 63, of Whitehouse, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2007, at Stewart Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Walter Jones and Roy Cooper officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tyler under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cooper passed away Sunday, April 22, 2007, in Tyler.
Bobbie was born June 7, 1943, in Tyler to Louise Burns and the late Robert "Bob" Burns. She lived all her life in Tyler, graduating from Robert E. Lee High School in 1961 and later attending The Federal Institute of Business School. She worked as a secretary for Squires, Johnson and Squires Accounting Firm for eight years and then 15 years for Brookshire's Grocery Company as an accounting clerk. She was a member of the New Life Baptist Church, and enjoyed arts and crafts, and refinishing furniture. She especially loved gardening and spending time in her greenhouse, in which she took great pleasure.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert "Bob" Burns.
Bobbie is survived by her loving family including her husband of 42 years, Gerald Cooper of Whitehouse; mother, Louise Burns of Tyler; sister. Martha Burns Shepherd and husband James of Flint; nephew, Rob Shepherd of Simi Valley, Calif.; brother-in-law, Roy Cooper and wife Judy of Longview; and nieces, Lisa Cooper and Casandra Hodson, both of Dallas; sister-in-law, Sandra Young and husband Bobby of Palestine; and nieces, Mitz Blunzer of Corpus Christi and Traci Ratcliff of Palestine.
Pallbearers will be Darwin Stainback, Terry Cooper, Glen Wilkins, Robert Williams, Robert McClanahan, David Price, Joe Burns and Robert York.
