ROBERT ALEXANDER HERSCHBACH

Service for Robert A. Herschbach. 41, Rochester, Wash., formerly of Tyler, are scheduled Saturday in Rochester.
Mr. Herschbach died today in Rochester after a lengthy illness.
He was born Aug. 31, 1943. in Tyler and attended Robert E. Lee High School, where he graduated in 1961. He later attended Yale, where he received a bachelor's in German, and the University of Massachusetts, where he received a master's and Ph.D in German. He was a social professor of German at the University of Paget Sound in Tacoma, Wash.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Heidi Herschbach, Rochester; his brother, Fred Herschbach, Tyler; his mother, Mrs. Hazel Herschbach, Tyler; three cousins, Virginia Natho, St. Louis, Mo., Dorothy Lynn Keagle, Joliett, Ill., and Robert Herschbach, III.; and two nephews, Jason Herschbach and Nathan Herschbach, both of Tyler.
