Peggy Davis, age 65, of Bearden, died Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at her home. She was born March 10, 1943 in Tyler, TX.

She loved horse racing and was an avid bridge player. She was an insurance agent for 23 ½ years having  worked for Campbell and Company. She was preceded in death by her parents, K. George and Gladys Messer Irving.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff Davis, Sr. of Bearden; son, Jeff Davis, Jr. of Bearden; daughter, Lisa Beaver and husband, Tommy of Camden; three grandchildren, Jennifer Whitley and husband, Jimmy of Malvern, K. K. Beaver of Dallas, TX, and Thomas Beaver of Camden; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Georgia Taylor and husband, Tim of Nacogdoches, TX and Judy Browne of Garland, TX.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church with burial in Holleman Cemetery. Rev. Buddy Ratliff will officiate the service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
