Went back to IBM in December '71 and spent the next 13 years at IBM Fishkill, NY. Then moved the family to Raleigh, NC and have been there ever since. Thirty years now. I retired from IBM in 1998 and have worked since with a sound company doing programming for commercial sound installations. We have 4 children all grown and on their own building their own careers. We have seven grand children, 3 local and 3 in Virginia near Quantico with her husband who is in the Marines and their 3 children. There was a new grand child last July 2013 making the total count now at 7.

When I was first on the USS LaSalle, one lunch time a ship mate and I went to the Navy Exchange over on the base. We managed to be late returning to the ship after lunch and instead of being written up, instead the chief for our division assigned my friend and I to carry all the electronic test equipment from where ever it was stored on the ship down to the pier to cart over to the Calibration ship. It took us all afternoon to get it all done. We never again missed returning to the ship in time.
